i'm not sure about that because i rarely listen to Tetsu and Klaha..
during Klaha era, the music are more to gothic-styled baroque music.
as for Tetsu, i'm not sure.
from these three vocalist, i prefer Gackt-san!!

*cough* I would like to say that i can answer about, 80% of all Malice Mizer questions LOL, Okie what's going on, Malice Mizer where never Pop, Hmmmm the best way to describe Gackt era would be to erm, In my opinion this is the best MM era, the music is like a mix of classical and rock, but its more soft and creepy than Klaha, Kami had just died and the absence of Gackt created a much more dark MM sound, not like MdM though who to me have a more heavy metal sound, MM where still producing classical mixed with rock music, but it was dark, like elabarate funeral music, Tetsu era is more like MdM, its more striped down, I often feel that there was some amazing music in Tetsu era, but well Tetsu really didn't sing that well , all in all the true MM era was the Gackt era, for me in a lot of ways Klaha era was a band in mourning, though Klaha is a wonderful singer, Tetsu era was the band descovering what they could do and Gackt era, though ended sadly was vibrant, theatrical and beautiful, also Gackt is the best lyricast they ever had, my favourite song is Gekka no YasouKyoku, I have to say I don't think Illuminati is the best place to start, it was written by Kozi and though it is one of there best and Kozi is a genious , It's a little more dancey and doesn't represent MM's sound as a whole, I would go for Illuminati and maybe Bel Air, though to be honest every MM song is diffrent, well thats my very long badly written opinion

Emu for my dear is Kami's official memorial song from Gackt and Kozi and Yu-Ki have written MEMENTO for Kami; Memento is a song Kozi sings it was realised in 2004, five years after Kami's death so it shows the members are still thinking of him, I have always felt the MdM song Vestige is about Kami the lyrics are beautiful Vestige lyrics

Yup U+K is also a song Gackt wrote for Kami, rumered songs include Vanilla, many say that Gackt breathing out Kami Sama dueing the song is refrence to Kami, though he could simply just be saying ow God, also December Love song (english title) and a couple of others but there all rumers only, the lyrics of a lot of Gackt songs remind me of Kami. The Mars and perticuly the Shockwave 99 performance of Emu for my dear are incredible, in Shockwave the raw emotion Gackt puts across is just heartbreaking.

Gackt and Kami where best friends, Gackt goes to visit Kami's grave twice a year on his birthday and the date of his death, I know they talked on the phone once for 8 hours!!! O.O
