DLPs lost the battle long away...not to say the technology is bad...but there are very few manufacturers that even produce those sets....they generally can't compete on thinness and weight vis-a-visa plasma or LCD....and now with the big OLED push that seems to be coming....DLP stands for Don't Lose & Purchase. |

Word is that the 11" OLED model that Sony's shilling has an outstanding picture... For $2500 it better be. 
And at that size, any picture would look pretty good... Let's see what happens when the diagonal size doubles or triples...

That's the word....yeah everybody was flippin' out when they relaased a model for public viewing....the picture is supposed to be that much better with insane contrast ratios.....amazing really. To be so much better than the high end stuff that's out now. |

Windows XP SP3 Delayed, Vista SP1 Paused

On two separate occasions yesterday, Microsoft announced a delay in the release of Windows XP Service Pack 3, and later pronounced stopping of automatic updates for Windows Vista Service Pack 1 as well.
The delay in XP SP3 and stoppage of Vista SP1 were both attributed by the company to the same problem -- a compatibility issue, although no further details were disclosed. However, Microsoft confirmed that due to this problem, Microsoft Dynamics Retail Management System would not be able to work with either operating system update.
While Windows XP SP3 was originally slated for release yesterday, Windows Vista SP1 was released only last week. The stoppage of automatic updates for Vista SP1 is only temporary, Microsoft said. The company regrets the inconvenience caused to customers but maintains that it is only in their best interests ultimately. Fixes for these problems are claimed to be currently in testing, and would be made available as soon as the process is complete.

Is it require to reinstall the windows in hard drive after replacing an other brand motherboard ?
I replaced a motherboard, does the previous MB's drivers still installed in my hard drive ? does it will effects the windows or something if i install the new MB's drivers without reinstall windows ?

More than likely, yes.

You always want to install a fresh copy of Windows if your upgrading MBs or HDs... A clean slate is better than a cluttered one.

Did that once. It worked. The cpu, ram, video card... were all the same. It took some time, but it worked. It was a busted system, so it was just to backup the remaining data. We had to reactivate windows tho.
The system wasn't stable. Maybe it was daemon tools, but everytime we'd put a dvd in the dvd-rom drive, the PC would reboot. If you have XP, you can always do a fresh install with the new SP3. There's a way to put in on the CD. slipstream I think.

I'm enjoying it as we speak. It delivered today!
I'm going to have to get used to this monitor tho. 24" widescreen is a big difference from a 17" wide-laptop screen.
