You're not applying for an engineer job, so that's ok. Usually, for these types of jobs, they just want to know if you have a nice personality. If you look nice, (not full of tattoos and/or metal all over your face), energetic and willing to learn, they will hire you. Ganbatte. Victory! Peace!

hehe
I'll keep you posted. If I don't report back in a month, my food was poisoned. Beaten

I have to admit, I never really like to live with a roommate. Your best friend can turn into your worst enemy.

Thanks, i know it doesn't sound like much of a job but i need it right now so i really look forward to getting it. I'm in no way the kind of person to get tattoos and all that, i don't need their help to gain all eyes on me. Yeah
I do hope i have a nice personality(i like to believe that i do), but since i really need the job i don't think i will get it, because thats the way of the world around here. You never get what you need, and when you get it you don't know what to do with it. Beaten
But i have all my hopes up anyway so wish me more luck. Mr Green
I will do my best!!!!

P.S. Ueda Jiro - Why don't you do your best? Its one of my favorite lines!

I can't blame you, with my past roommate experiences I think I'm better just having my own place and having friends over, as opposed to living with friends or students I don't know. I just can't afford my own place just yet. I've had a close friend as a roommate and there were times when I just wanted strangle him. My last roommate wasn't too bad. Respectful of my stuff, used the living room to do his studying and typing whenever I slept, a nice guy overall. The only knock was that he was a bit on the messy side, but that's nothing compared to the roommates I've had before.

Good luck with your roommate situation Victory! Peace!

I can't believe this is my 1,000th post. I've never posted a thousand messages on a forum before. And even more amazing - it's only been 3 months since I joined.

Glad to be part of the community and have met some nice people.

It's good to have you on board (so to speak), phlargo. Dancing
But eek! Keep it up, and you'll soon be overtaking my post count (and I've been here a lot longer than 3 months). Sweat Mr Green

You're on quite a roll, considering I had a little bit of a head start Sweat. But hey, when there's plenty of Nodame Cantabile and Ueno Juri fans, not to mention fans of J-Dramas in general, there's plenty of posting opportunities. Soon you'll approaching 'racer's post count Victory! Peace!

Haha... I highly doubt that. Especially because this weekend I'll be spending much of my time revising a response to a motion to compel.

It's a fun one to draft, really... As the plaintiff's counsel were total dicks during the deposition, we get to hold their noses over the fire a little. Beaten

I haven't the slightest clue exactly what a motion to compel is (sorry, no plans to be a lawyer, just an elementary school teacher, so that way I have an excuse to play Onara Taisou), but to compel would mean the plantiff's counsel wants something to be done on your side of the case? I'm just guessing really just based on the word compel Sweat If that's the case, I say make them wait for whatever it is they're compelling your side to do, at least within legal means Beaten

I'm leaning towards not having a roommate for the summer. Considering rent has been paid this month already, I'm not in much of a hurry to find somone. It'd be nice if I could get someone for July and August, but I can get through two months. The important thing is I find a roommate for the upcoming school year.

I hear ya.. it's kinda lonely living alone though - at least if you're not at school. Not that I feel overly lonely, but it sure is quiet here sometimes.

Oh.. I'm so happy, I just wrote a brilliant argument for one of the legal issues in this motion response - it hits all the law and is sarcastic and scathing, yet quite respectful... Maybe I'm getting into this too much ;-)
