He WAS convincing in 1LoT, the reason I finally get to like him despite being a K8 fan at first.
That's the weight he has to carry I guess, trying to live up to that convincing portrayal and just...failed. |
Ryo's acting in 1 Ritoru no Namida wasn't bad. The story was great which was a plus. Ryo started out decent at the beginning of LF but the same cold face dialogue got old and unfortunately his story ended up sucking. I'm willing to give JE actors credit if warranted It's the high ratings on JE casted crap doramas that piss me off (Gokusen, HYD) |

im ok with the very 1st season of Gokusen but as for the rest, still bearable even though it's boring already..
aiyoo, why HYD too??
Jun greatly portrayed his role as Domyouji..and im sure he's not the only reason why the series was a big hit, story-wise as well as the other casts.. _________________

Sorry, I found these to be silly. By all means continue watching them if that's what you're into. Have you seen Yukan Club? Some mangas weren't meant to be made into dramas. |

yeah i did.. although i haven't read the manga so i can't compare.. .. it's been packed with JE alryt... to be honest, Chinen Yuri (HSJ)'s acting is more convincing than his senpais.. _________________

*GASP*
obvious Jun bias! He is the only JE that played in both dramas and both are live action adaptations of VERY POPULAR MANGAS. Jun did not drive the droves of fan to watch his dramas and those are not to be deemed crappy. Overrated yes, but not crappy. However that's your opinion and these are mine as well as thousands of people who have watched and enjoyed it immensely (i can't however say the same for 2,3,4,5 infinity season of Gokusen which were very much made chocful of JE). However, YUKAN CLUB is a better choice to be anointed as a JE crap fest.
we'll just see how Jun can manage to pull off playing a paralyzed parent.
Please forgive me for going way off topic but its Jun. read the sig _________________

| If they had a spinoff dorama with Ruka and Takeru raising Michiru's baby I would definitely watch it. Hell even Eri and Ogurasan for that matter! |

Out of the picture. Mental ward or something. |

I only watched this because:
1. i just finished nodame and i fell in love with Juri (thanks BMW for the recommendation) - so I wanted to check out other dramas she made
2. the cast of nodame was there - i was impressed with Eita
3. i like Masami's face - but from what I read in her thread she hasn't played a dark role? something her fans want her to take a stab at. I'll check out proposal after this one.
4. I like Utada Hikaru's song before the drama came out.
What I've learned from this thread:
1. I havent actually finished the show im still in epi 6, I will just fast forward all of Ryo's scenes. hehehe
2. I'm not the only one who noticed that his acting was awful in this series. Something in his face.. o yeah.. his face never showed emotion!! hahaha. His performance here is forgettable to say the least. _________________

So are you switching from Aya-chan to Juri-chan?
And the list grows.... |
Thats a tough one BMW, acting wise Juri-chan hands down..
but if I was looking for someone to endorse a product.. i would still pick Aya-chan. _________________
