yo~ I like Toda Erika! But how come she looks kinda weird in that picture with Mika? Anyway... look forward to this drama, hopefully it will not turn out like LF. Good at the start, gone bad towards the end... _________________ ********************** 仕事を始めます。嫌いですね。時間がありませんよ。ドラマが見られません。悲しい。。。

well.. the drama is based on a best selling novel so I don't think we will be disappointed by the plot and the screenplay is written by Kudo Kankuro. Any LF comparison should go to the "Innocent Love" thread, not here.

I saw some clips of the Navi (?) special on RnK... the drama seems to have this "raw" feel to it. The actors looks normal (Toda not that cute, Ryo is "jimmy" with that mushroom hair and Nino was sweaty), the shots seems old school.. kind remind me of doramas from the 90s. This one definitely needed to be watched with subs since the words are done by Higashi-san & Kudokan. Hoping for the best quality translation for this one.

I just watched RnK Navi and Ohsama no Brunch I'm going to crosspost of what I've posted in the LJ community, my impressions (sorry if I make any of you read these twice x)): 30-mins Ryusei no Kizuna NAVI: I'm very satisfied with what I've seen and heard so far!!!^v^ The background musics by Kono Shin, as expected, sounds AWESOME!! The scene where little Koichi told little Taisuke that their parents were murdered, and Taisuke's reaction, was EXCELLENT, plus the BGM, gave me goosebumps!! I love the comical scenes! And seem like the interaction and chemistry between characters would be great! From what I've seen in the Navi, the drama surpassed the book for the beginning parts, coz the drama shows alot more of the family scenes (when the parents are still alive) and that what I've been hoping for, when I read the 1st chapter! To feel the Ariake family's warmth before the cold night. The siblings' bond looks great, and Nino said he is really looking forward to watch the swindling scene, so he asked the audience to look forward to it too. And seem like Nino-Ryo-Erika has great bond already, since they looked very comfortable with each other, and they talked to each other casually. I thought Erika would feel out of place, coz Nino-Ryo has known each other for years, and they're both Johnnys, but apparently she didn't act like that all, instead she seem able to follow her "brothers" conversations very well, and actively speak too, in the conversation. Only one thing I'm not satisfied with... yappari, the themesong by Arashi x) I'm sorry, as much as I love Arashi, I still think the themesong doesn't match the drama's plot =( I hope the opening titleback of the drama, can change my mind later... Ohsama no Brunch, Ryo+Erika guests: Ryo+Erika=cuteness!! hahaha... I feel strange that despite the fact they are playing the roles as brother and sister, they gave a "different" vibe offscreen xD Ryo is so shy around her, he couldn't even face her or look at her in the eye. While Erika was like all "pls look at me in the eye, when you talk to me!" xD I totally love it when Ryo said to her, "Pls don't look at me like that," and he cover his face, hahahah!! Erika seem so bewildered with his attitude. Not to mention they both talked in a bit of Kansai-ben!! They sounded even cuter^^ Is Ryo this shy around Sawajiri Erika, Ueto Aya or his other co-stars? If not, he might really had a crush on Erika, LOL, j/k! I know actor and actress are told to have a good interaction offscreen, and to act like they're getting along and all, for promos. But Ryo-Erika acted all wrong, LOL. They suppose to give the atmosphere of brother and sister, and yet they're acting as if to promote a love story drama together, hehe... _________________

yanie-chan! i'm watching the Channel Rock promo right now. Ryo/Erika really cute in this one too. Based on "Beautiful days" translations, the words fits perfectly with the siblings sadness but the melody is deceptively happy. Its confusing I still like the song though . Its catchy and won't get out of my mind as soon as its played (and i'm bias ) There's always the bgm to count on and Mika's Orion. _________________ <- by Koon

Have you watch Ohsama no Brunch?? You should!! Ryo-Erika are even cuter there!! I love how Nino say things like he knows all about Ryo already, haha, just like a big brother, "Most probably he only say "sou ssu ne..." in the studio,". Nino also talk how Ryo love to apologize, and answer evrything with "hai, hai, sumimasen,", LOL. And then Ryo actually DID say "hai sumimasen" in the studio, haha... Nino said, Erika is noisy(urusai) Yeah well... never mind the themesong, as long as it has excellent BGM for me, indeed ^_^ _________________

In the recent drama SP aired earlier this month, Erika also plays the foster sister of 2 Johnnys, and Subaru said that Erika is like the girl-version of Hina (Murakami), the other Johnny in the dorama. Hina is known as the talkative, bossy one in the group, and also got along well with his co-stars. No wonder Erika is able to get along with Nino & Ryo.

Ryo and Subaru share the same trait, they're shy towards everybody they don't know, though Subaru tends to fear them as well more than Ryo. I think Nino is helping him bridging that gap with Erika, the way Hina did with Erika & Subaru when they filmed Arigatou, Okan.

had just watched the subbed version, it's the first time actually i've seen Ryo-chan soo shy like that and im really shocked, i thought he's the sort of outgoing and silly one, i guess it differs due to the people around him.. hehe

seeing him behaving like that with Erika, now im really wondering too if ever he was the same with his previous female co-stars..those two are indeed cute!! now im kinda rooting for them.. hehe

The first eps is kinda okay...I'm guessing it'll get darker as they come closer to the killer. If that is the case, then the lightness of the first episode is acceptable. I just hope they don't turn this into a comedy/humor drama...

Yeah I agree. When I watched I was thinking "Is this supposed to be a comedy?" I was expecting this to be all serious. So maybe the next episode. I also agree what yanie_chan had stated above about the theme song by Arashi. I am not feeling it at all. The insert song by Nakashima Mika is better.
