Magerarenai Onna episode 2
Some of the dialogue in the middle were a bit cliche/corny and made me cringe, but still quite a good episode. I have a feeling that Kanno Miho will again win the Best Actress award with this role. The plot has some unpredictability to it despite the presence of cliche situations. In that aspect, it reminds me of the writer's past dramas. I wish we can learn more about the supporting characters played by Nagasaku and Tanihara.

Took a mini break from my current kdrama engorgement for Enka no Joou.
This was a nice treat. I had no idea who was in the cast. Imagine my delight to find Ruri from Ruri no Shima popping up. Since I have this peculiar disease of projecting a favored character from one drama to another it was just exciting to get my personal Ruri No Shima sequel number 2.
It's a 9/10 for me.

I liked Enka No Joou, Fun.
Watched another ep of Yoru Ni Dakarete. Not your typical eye candy, boy toy, Male Host Club drama. Quite a thought provoking series. _________________

Finished ep 7 of BOSS, it's taking a long time for me to finish this show. The characters are just so dull, I'll try to finish it over the weekend.
I just finished it about 2 weeks ago, you're right about it being dull up until then, but episodes 9-11 are really good, think you may enjoy those so much better. If youre a fan of Takeshi Soriamachi, he guest stars in episodes 10 and 11. _________________

I LUFFED Enka no Joou! It was one of those surprise gifts. I started off watching it with zero expectations, and ended up finding it hard to stop watching!

On ep 2 of Tomorrow, so far so good.
Yes, Tomorrow is pretty good! It's a pity that it came out in the same season as Code Blue (as far as medical drama goes), which is a lot less desirable in my book. _________________

Kisarazu Cat's Eye, first episode was so-so until the last 10 minutes, looks like it's going to turn out to be a good one though. Glad it's only 9 episodes, just biding time until all of LG 2 is subbed. _________________

The side characters, the supporting characters were the whole show for me.
I agree with you. I thought Ninomiya brought absolutely nothing to the party. And that was a shame because I've enjoyed quite a few of his other series. (Just a guess, but I think this was made around the same time he was making "Letters from Iwo Jima" and I think he thought he could just walk through this one. Who knows... maybe I'm just making excuses.)
After a couple of episodes I just started ignoring him and that brick his character had a crush on, and focused on everyone else. They kept a smile on my face through the rest of the show. _________________

Massugu na Otoko episode 2
It was ok. Definitely watchable. I like Kanjiya Shiori a lot here, she does a great job even though she doesn't have much to work with at all. The situation at the end got resolved a bit too easily I thought, but then this is a feel good drama so that type of resolution is common.

I rather enjoyed Haikei Chichiue-Sama. Actually, I was pleasantly surprised by Ninomiya, especially given his background. He was refreshingly subdued in which was, admittedly, a rather underwritten role. His main purpose was to observe and comment on the more interesting, mainly female support characters. I though Yachigusa Kaoru was excellent in this respect. His girlfriend was definitely a plank though.

I did watch some of this and it was ridiculous as you had mentioned. TV Tokyo Friday midnight dorama...
