y'see, i've always been a hardcore NEWS fan (well since end 2006) and i've never had interest in other JE bands. recently when NEWS and KAT-TUN were named as BEST ARTISTEs, i was surprised to see that NEWS had a lot more fans from the 10 - 19 age group but KAT-TUN got more of those aged 20 - 30. and to me NAKAMARU seemed a bit 'out' in KAT-TUN so i searched KAT-TUN's pvs on Youtube and i guess i know now why the more mature women prefer KAT-TUN to NEWS......
and I can relate that to the MOLA PV and Koya's kinda sexy-intended solo PV as well : which some people feel are more k-pop than necessary. _________________

1. actually, i was referring to Niini no Koto wo Wasurenaide : as described below
With boy band NEWS hosting this year's annual "24 Hour Television" program on NTV, member Ryo Nishikido (24) has been chosen to star in the telethon's customary drama special. Ryosuke Yamada (16) of Hey! Say! JUMP has also been cast in the show.
The drama is titled "Niini no Koto wo Wasurenaide" and is based on a book by writer Masumi Kawakami. Nishikido plays a young man named Keisuke Kawai, who aspired to become a physicist since he was young. His hopeful parents send him to an expensive college prep school, but at the age of 15, during his third year of junior high, he is diagnosed with a brain tumor. Told that he only has one year to live, he falls into despair, giving up on treatment and even lashing out against his own mother. Ultimately, with the support of his family, he struggles with the tumor for eight years before dying at the age of 23.
Keisuke's younger brother will be played by Yamada, while his parents are played by Hitomi Kuroki (48) and Takanori Jinnai (50). Yumi Shirakawa (72) plays the grandmother.
"24 Hour Television" is going on the air on August 29-30. "Niini no Koto wo Wasurenaide" will be broadcast on the night of August 29.
2. the WPD concert was pretty good. I think - although i am not very knowledgeable - that the WPD concert was one of the best - if not the best - as the members had matured so much and their voices were better. you know, i used to worry about shige singing live during his earlier concerts, but now i can watch him sing with confidence.
besides, i think the WPD concert was really innovative with lots of creative stuff. (well, then again, i may be bias ) _________________

okay, where is everybody.
second, it kinda of bugs me that people seem to take the entire YAOI NEWS FICs pairing so seriously that they actually dissect and investigate the guys and look down on shige (okay ...these two facts may / may not be in line with each other - but who cares).
Having said that i mean.....the fics are stories written mostly mostly by women....that's why the storylines are like that. and i pity the characters who are actually analysed and criticised simply because the reader does not agree with the pairing.
the world doesn't revolve around our own opinions guys/girls - whether or not some people ARE suited to one another, it's none of our beeswax.

i second the motion.. i must say they have really grown so much that it really moved me seeing them perform in NWPD that way and the documentary was really <33333 NewS is really full of member ai..
though i cant compare arashi with NewS.. arshi had been there for 10 yrs.. and they are different from news--- NewS has their own style, charisma and way of performing.. but i hope you'll like them too.. _________________

Guys just want to clarify things... the rumor about yamapi and the model plus yamapi and keiko are really RUMORS. YAMAPI already denied it in an interview.

There are not a lot of things we can do right now but one thing we can do, is write.
Let's celebrate NEWS and Valentine's Day and send a message!
The idea is to send postcards to the addresses below to let them know that we love NEWS, we miss NEWS, we're waiting for NEWS and we're not afraid to admit it!
Simple messages in English are perfectly fine - the suggestion of this post, is that somewhere in your message you include the word NEWS and draw a heart - ♥.
It's a universal symbol. It's a symbol that is used a lot in NEWS songs. And even at a glance, the message of our postcards will be clear.
Postcards remain the best way to do this. Let's see how many we get there by White Day (March 14).

What should we write?
Whatever you want, but it's a postcard so keep it short. Say you love NEWS, you miss them, you want a new single, you want a concert tour, you love the Live Diamond dvd, you love Shigemi etc.

If I may, I would like to humbly quote JE fan, Thennary Nak, who wrote in her blog on 14 FEBRUARY 2010 that :
"Then there's a piece of movie news. Nishikido Ryo will finally get to be a lead actor and will make his film debut in the upcoming movie Chonmage Purin. He will play a samurai that somehow winds up going through time to the modern age and then ends up becoming a pastry chef."
so.....let's see....
(a) shige is the 2nd NEWS member to have a lead role : shige's new drama 'trouble man' starts on 9 April 2010 (isn't that Leader's birthday?)
(b) ryo is 3rd : ryo has his first lead role in a movie (heh heh, did he get beaten to a lead role by shige? but shige's in a drama series while ryo has a movie, am i right?)
(c) massu has an upcoming sp drama 'sotsu uta'
(d) and did i read that tegomass has a concert coming up? did i get that confused with 2009? Oh dear.....
Well, i hope they have another major concert in 2010, but just don't wait until 2011 for the CDs.
