Watching the Curling right now. It has its own appeal. Mr Green

I was watching this today as well! I was telling my mother, normally I wouldn't watch Curling. But because it's the Olympics... Beaten

I ws so happy the chinese skaters won Gold and silver.

Whenever I see pairs skating now I alway go back to that truly exciting night when the English pair broke through all barriers and skated like flying and changed the way for the sport for the future.

TORVILL AND DEAN...

So am I! Is it true that the pair that won Gold is now retiring? What a way to end their career. w00t!

Yup, Zhao will be 40 and Shen will be 35 come Sochi 2014. Somehow if they did compete they would still be considered a favourite, they're that good.

Friend gave me a chuckle when he said they are an inspiration to kids and thirtysomethings everywhere Big Grin

I know, right? Too bad I missed Plushenko's short routine (rats!), but the Japanese skaters (one of them is a descendant of Oda Nobunaga, how kewl is that? Mr Green) were electrifying. Fantastic performances from Johnny Weir and Evan Lysaceck, too! Can't wait for the free skate! w00t!

Congratulations to the Chinese Pair Skaters who won Gold and Silver medals last night!!! Applaud Plus the Silver Medalists skated to one of my all time favorite songs in their routine "To Dream the Impossible Dream." So beautiful! Victory! Peace!

That routine by Pang/Tong was my favorite! I was on the verge of tears after their performance. It had drama, passion, tenderness, and it told a story. The music from "Man of La Mancha" was beautiful, great arrangement by Joe Hisaishi (!!!).

They're talking about snowboarding and saying that Red Bull actually built a half-pipe just for Shaun White to train by himself in some remote area in Colorado.... Shocked

I was wondering what Oda Nobunaga would think of his young descendant Oda Nobunari swooshing around the ice. Maybe if he had a sword in his hand it would be impressive...He's a good skater.

Well, wouldn't that be a sight to behold... Mr Green

(I preferred Takahashi Daisuke's routine, though. Such panache! Dancing)

Omedetou gozaimasu Japan!!! Silver and Bronze in 500 meter men's speed skating!! w00t!

Here's a little clip of their co-workers back in Japan. I think it's kind of cool the enthusiasm they have. Kind of brings back the "amateur spirit" that the Olympics is supposed to be about instead of all the commercial crap. Grumble
