pretty much, i think there was talk of excessive tire wear on improper sized tires and warranty issues. It's been that way for a while. It's fine if you want the same size tire, which is fine for 80% of the population. if you've upgraded your rims to a different size, costco is a no go.

You can try America's Tire: they seem to be motivated to match online prices and probably don't have Costco's policy issues.

I use Discount Tires in El Monte, i've been going there for ages, and they can special order anything (rims from japan, germany, etc) at good prices
