Short answer is no. Some mass producers add it to enhance flavor without aging. I have "Hikari" brand red miso paste, it's imported/produced by JFC Intl. I can't handle much msg, so i do seek out foods that have none or only natural concentrations.

After I gave up K, I used to cook MSG and fluff it up with my AMEX card.

Hmm, I've never been there... I usually go the The Loft for Hawaiian eats.

A lot of people like King's Hawaiian, but I think it's overrated.

King's is a nice place to sit down and eat with the family or friends from out of town, but yeah, I hear the Loft is much better.

King's does have some really good bakery stuff that The Loft doesn't have, but aside from that.......

No problem. You're welcome. You should check it out. The food and the drinks are of a conspicuously high quality. If you're in to coffee or tea, especially, then you should definitely check it out. Perhaps a tad expensive but they use quality ingredients, organic when possible.

Personally, I love going there. Smile

Just checked out the locations and there are none in O.C. (where I live), however, I'm planning to visit my friend who lives in Culver City which is close to the Santa Monica location.... yay!

Speaking of healthy and tasty food, if you visit Culver City often you have to eat at Tender Greens on Culver Blvd. Their salads and food are legendary. I absolutely love that place. If I lived in Culver City I'd go there several times a week.
