A family down the street had all their stucco stripped off before the new stucco was applied... Of course, they also had new windows installed all around as well... $$$$$.

Word. Sweat

I suppose if I had a single-level home, I'd attempt to do it myself, but with two levels, no way.

i dont think we're going to replace all the windows, most of them work still. we'll probably replace the front three bay windows cause the termite damage still needs to be repaired. it'll run about $10k still.

that's for the good ones (30yr warranty, 2xglazed, nitrogen filled, low-e, uv, etc)... with labor they run about $800-1200 a piece. That's full service estimate, it would be lower if there was no replacing of sills, frames, etc... we have 22 windows.

low estimate was $500 each window, 15 yr warranty aluminum, double paned, argon filled.

With those kinda numbers, $10K is a lot more palatable.

I need to replace my old, original crappy aluminum windows... I think the flashing on several of them is shot. Sweat

no, that's $10k for THREE windows, repair the termite damage to the bay wall, the baseboard, subfloor and restucco, drywall the interior.

Somehow we've gotta dig up a 12-cylinder Rolls Royce engine for the plane... Unless you've already got one. Beaten

Or we could build a Zero from parts scuttled off of a Lancer Evo.... Since both were made by Mitsubishi. Mr Green

The only 12 cylinders I have are the 12 empty, aluminum beer cans sitting in my recycle bin.
