Ueno’s “French accent” in new commercials

Actress Ueno Juri (23) is currently appearing in the newest commercials for Asahi's canned chu-hai (shochu with tonic water) brand "Chu-Hai Kajitsu no Shunkan" (tr: Instant Fruit Chu-Hai). In the commercials she playfully uses a "French accent" together with the popular French chef Philippe Batton.

The commercial has a very unique – Ueno's World – kind of feeling to it. It's always nice to see Ueno acting like that and nobody can beat her expressions. Batton, her co-actor this time, isn't new to the TV either. He already appeared on various cooking themed variety shows like "Ryori no Tetsujin" (Fuji TV).

The short clip starts with Batton staring at the cans and saying, "Momo kajuu~, budo kajuu~, ume kajuu~" (tr: peach, grape & plum fruit juice). Ueno pads on his shoulder and boasts, "Oui~ kokusan kajuu~" (tr: domestic fruit juice). Batton becomes all delightful and comments, "Kono kuni niwa suteki na kajuu~ ga afurete masu ne" (tr: This country is really full of great fruit juice, isn't it?). Of course she agrees and shouts "JAPON~!" with a very funny expression. The commercial then ends with a cute line from Ueno, "Mizu mizu sweet" (tr: fresh juicy sweet).

The slogan "mizu mizu sweet" that originates from "mizumizushi" (tr: fresh and juicy) is the trademark of that chu-hai, because it's supposed to taste just as fresh and juicy as the actual fruit. There are 4 flavors you can try out in cans: "Fresh Grape," "Mild Peach," "Tasty Plum" and "Refreshing Shekwasa (hirami lemon)".
