I daresay one might need to take the whole box at once to have any effect. Smile

A Costco-sized box would be appropriate. Mr Green

Yes, indeed. Traffic can definitely bring on desire to ingest massive amounts of chemicals to cope. Nut

Didn't hear much about it since NBC wasn't carrying it this year and I don't watch KTLA-5 very often, if ever.

Not me... I'm allergic to Beverly Hills.

I haven't, but I have heard of it. It's on restaurant row just south of the Beverly Center, but north of Wilshire. When it first opened up it got mixed reviews because I think they didn't have all the kinks worked out after their grand opening. I've been meaning to try it one day...it is a branch of a Tokyo establishment.

Views of 'Hiroshige: Visions of Japan'

The 19th century Japanese artist's mass-produced prints made him a sort of Norman Rockwell of his day. A Norton Simon exhibition revisits his work.

Oh yeah? It looks really nice, inside and out. I haven't stepped in there yet, but the website photos of the interior look great. I read an article about the hotel opening in the monthly AAA magazine I receive in the mail. The bathrooms there are actually equipped with Japanese TOTO toilets with the built-in bidet function like all the hotels and most households in Japan. w00t!

I thought so too at first...I thought it was going to be some mixed used development, part residential - part commercial.

I think I saw the residential: I saw someone hanging their clothes out to dry on the balcony. Beaten

Anyone going to Comic-Con in San Diego this year?

Special guest:
Moto Hagio
Manga Artist, The Poe Clan, Mesh

Moto Hagio's major manga works include The Poe Clan, They Were Eleven, The Heart of Thomas, "Hanshin", "Iguana Girl", Marginal, and Mesh. She is considered to be the mother of shōjo (young girl) manga. This will be her first-ever visit to the U.S. to appear as a special guest at Comic-Con.

The event is already sold out for all four days, so unless you've already pre-paid for your tickets, you're out of luck.

Comic-con has been held in San Diego since its inception, and it's been a huge financial boon for the city. However, there's trouble looming on the horizon. Because the event has become so big, cities like Anaheim and Los Angeles are actively trying to woo Comic-con to their city on the premise that their convention centers are larger than San Diego's so there is room for even further expansion (i.e. more tickets, more vendors, more presentations, more MONEY). The San Diego Convention Center is already at its limit; there's no way Comic-con can continue to grow at that venue.

Yeah, I was there a couple of years ago, and it was nerd-elbow to nerd-elbow. The volume of visual stimulation was overwhelming.

They could take it to San Francisco, maybe the Moscone Center has enough room. Naughty
