Did you watch it yet?
Downloading episode 3 right down, putting the first 2 on disc as I write this, really putting my computer thru too much right now. Sigh, time to find some new pics.

Kaz won't be happy with us, over 2 days with no posts. On the bright side, Otousan is all downloaded and put on disc, 5 more episodes of my current drama, then time for another Ryoko one.

That was a horrible movie. I didn't like it one bit. Sorry to all of you guys who did. But i didn't find it any good.
I liked RH's debut CD, though the production and tunes from later songs are less interesting. A fresh, melodic kind of pop, but not earthshaking.
My take on Hirosue's acting is another thing altogether. She was engaging in Poppoya (Railroad Man), and her work in the Oscar winning Okuribito was fascinating. I didn't care for the higher-budget Goemon - but Hirosue was fascinating in every scene.
In her dramas, Hirosue really stands out from the pack. Oyaji and the well-cast Slow Dance are both very strong. At her best, it's like she performs on multiple levels, responding to the situation, delivering dialog, and reacting in what looks like real-time. If I come off as a "fan," realize that this praise was hard-won; not many actresses can pull off that Hirosue can.

Poppoya was a fantastic film, liked her role, maybe she's not #1 on my list but I like everything she's done, she can go from a serious role like in Summer Snow to a daffy, comedy one like Bubble Fiction. Really want to see her remake of Zero Focus, heard her and the movie were quite good.
