Two more months!
I got a chance to watch the first movie on a tv much bigger than my dinky monitor and I have to say it was nice to watch. Big screen, surround sound, that's a winning combo.

Yup, the concert performances are really impressive in surround.

Just doesn't see the many flashbacks that some of the posters have said. Were they in the TV-edit version instead?
I guess so. The TV broadcast version has more Stresseman.
For the record, movie II has indeed more flashbacks. I don't think they are necessary, but it may be a different case for those who are not familiar with Nodame story. _________________

Finished the first part of the movie. It was cool. I loved it. I hope they could build more of Nodame's career in part two. Or it really did happen? Oh well.. _________________

The focus will definitely be on Nodame in Movie 2.

Aww, you should watch the entire series...
I was hesitant at the beginning, but the anime does have its own charm.
Oh sure I will bmw-san. I still have Shinzanmono on my next dorama to watch list. Then I have to finish Tsuki no Koibito because the dvd(pirated) release here isn't complete yet. lol _________________

Shinzanmono is pretty good: Abe's always worth watching.
I watched the anime parallel to the drama.
I like them both. My impressions:
Anime: The humor a bit cooler ...and Stresemann bearable.
Dorama: It's a bit more touching and the concert scenes are way more powerful - Tamaki really puts his guts into it.
