Still watching Aibou 7. Looks like Sugishita gets his new partner next week. The last three episodes he was with Tomoko Tabata (Watashi no Aozora, Tentai Kanzoku) and I thought they worked pretty well together. I think a male/female team might be pretty interesting. Evidently, the producers are thinking otherwise. Shake Head

Started watching some 2012's dramas. The best one so far is Strawberry Night. It's kinda eccentric and cruel but also very interesting with a dark mystery. As expected from Takeuchi Yuko, she impressed me since first minutes of first episode. Second is Shokuzai. This one is even darker and gloomier than Strawberry Night. Koizumi Kyoko's character doesn't do much but she's damn creepy. The first episode "French Doll" scared me. Not as I was shocked but it was scary. Third one would be Honjitsu wa Taian Nari. It has an interesting story line and is funny too, so I hope I won't be disappointed. Dirty Mama's not bad too. It's even funnier than Honjitsu wa Taian Nari and cast is good too. The only thing that's out of order - Nagasaku's hair hehe And last but not least is Deka Kurokawa Suzuki. Short detective stories with smart but easily annoyed detective, smart, handsome and serious detective and silly, funny, crazy detective. There's also main character's wife. The very old sweet lolita hehe

It was OK... Not as good as I would have hoped.

I think the first third or half was better than the the latter episodes.

I'm not really a Nanako fan but someone irl told me to watch this drama and also I was curious about the show and wanted to see if it lived up to its ratings. Not sure if it really did but I really enjoyed it. Applaud

Watched episode 1 (raws) of Stepfather Step:http://www.jdorama.com/drama.1704.htm

The episode clocks in at almost 90 minutes bleh and the dramas website describes it as " a family comedy mystery" Crazy .

I don't think it'll be a complete disaster but it doesn't look to be anything great either.

^ First episodes are typically longer, huh?

That said, 90 minutes is considerably longer than most.

Hey I see you all the time on Facebook. Bleah

And I think I'll watch the first episode of Zeni Geba now. I hope it's as good as people make it out to be...

Finished up GM~Odore Doctor, fairly solid lighthearted series but also with many serious moments, took place in a hospital with a bunch of (in)competent doctors.
Also wrapped up Yuusha Yoshihiko to Maou no Shiro, this was one wacky, silly series but for some reason it worked, wacky like Arakawa was but so, so much better. Sweat

Looks like it's gonna be awhile for the next episodes of Stepfather Step so I started Kazoku Hotei: http://www.jdorama.com/drama.1612.htm

Not too bad. It has Kyozo Nagatsuka as a judge whose wife has passed away and he tries to solve his families problems with the help of his trusty housekeeper played by Mimura. To their credit they didn't take the easy way out and make the family a bunch of blithering idiots that needs Mimura to bail them out every week. So far, so good.

Where did you find this series? I was looking forward and waiting for it, but it never appeared in any of the forums I visited.

I also watched Stepfather Step, first 2 episodes. I like it but the bond/connection between the twins and the "stepfather", that is central to this drama, is not very clear or well established. Wish there's more screen time for Hirayama Aya too.
