Im watching LAst Cinderella.
Quite charming. Shinohara Ryoko and the other cast memebers are all solid. On ep 3 already. Its catchy.

I loathe that drama. Have sworn off everything Shinohara Ryoko and Miura whatshisname.

Just finished ep 4 of MOZU, and wondering if it's just me... the drama's a bit tedious for a cop show and it doesn't quite give me the "I want to keep watching!" feeling. So far the only character I actually like is Osugi and his moments with his daughter were the rare highlights of the first four episodes. Maki Yoko leaves me cold (both the actress and her character) and I haven't really felt like rooting for Kuraki's cause.

It's not you. This thing took forever to get going. In episode 5 there is one of the best chase/fight sequences I've seen in a long time but it's not until episode 6 that some things are found out and it starts to make sense. Still, overall, I was disappointed by this drama. The one big stand out for me was Ikematsu Sosuke as Shingai.

Also, some of the violence was too much over the top for me.

I'm back to Silent Poor. On episode 7 now. Since I'm watching this series on my phone during my lunch breaks at work, maybe I shouldn't have picked such a sad series? Puppy Dog Eyes Shameful Cry

I really liked At Home Dad

But if you dont like Shinohara Ryoko might be a tough one.

She overacts in Last Cinderella but I figure her director is asking for that.

I never finish a drama if I dont like it. Too many great ones to bother with anything else. Victory! Peace!

The chase/fight was good, and was looking a bit more like a cop show - more action, less talk. It's been rather frustrating because the characters are not sympathetic at all and a lot of it has been talk and more talk, and the PSB folks are odious. Kuraki frustrates me a lot and it makes me sad because I like Nishijima Hidetoshi, but I feel all this alpha male business is just damaging his cause more.

I've also been frankly bored by some of the plot points. Dharma? Seriously now? Especially when that drawing looks like Kohinata Fumiyo.

Shingai has been an interesting character so far, I certainly didn't expect the drama to go that way with him. I agree about the violence, I didn't like the scenes in this episode involving him.

Hi snow_san, I'm sorry I'll have to give that a miss. I like Abe Hiroshi, but I loathe Shinohara Ryoko and will not go ten feet near any of her dramas. She's on that yuck level with Hirosue Ryoko - hey, both are Ryoko bleh

Wakamonotachi 2014

The second half of episode 3 was great. I was a little disappointed by the first two but it feels like I can look forward to the rest of the series after this episode.

Finished MOZU, finally. Once things cleared up in episode 6, it was much easier to finish the episodes because the drama finally remembered it needed to get going. I wonder if they went the slow way because they knew it would go to a season 2 even before season 1 started.

Ikematsu Sosuke was impressive as Shingai and I like what the drama did with his character. I just wish the writing had been tighter overall - maybe the writer who adapted the screenplay for Double Face should have done this one as well.

The scene with Osugi and Kuraki towards the end of ep 10...

Has anyone seen season 2? Worth watching or is it more of the same?

I was asking the same question. I was so disappointed in MOZU I wanted to wait and hear what other people thought of MOZU 2 before starting it. That reminds me, looks like MOZU 2 is not in our data base.

I was also holding off on 'Wakamonotachi 2014' but it looks like I'll start that one after all.

Good to know I'm not the only one who didn't like MOZU. I had such a hard time just watching the first episode I gave up half way. Sweat

Started watching Tokyo Scarlet (not bad, but nothing special so far either) and Keishicho Sousa Ikka 9 Gakari Season 9.

Watched the first two episodes of 'Wakamonotachi 2014'. Wasn't too impressed at first. About 2/3rds of the way thru the second episode I thought if I see another fight between the siblings or another shot of Tokyo Sky Tree I'm going to scream.

But the last ten minutes of the second episode when we're watching the camcorder along with Eita was enough to keep me hopeful for the rest of the drama.

Up thru episode 4 of 'Wakamonotachi 2014'. Instead of focusing on the relationship between the siblings it looks like this is going to turn into one big love triangle (love hexagon?).

Tadashi loves Kazumi who loves Haru. Hikari loves Shinjo (who's married to somebody else) but it looks like one of the other doctors loves Hikari. Eita is working on Nagasawa's farm and I'm sure something will happen there. The only ones not in some kind of love triangle are Asahi and Azusa and that's because they're already married to each other. Crazy

Just finished Jiken Kyumeii ~IMAT no Kiseki~ 2 and liked it. I generally enjoy procedurals and this was quite nicely done. I wonder if they'll keep it as a continuing series since there are still questions unanswered and the dynamic between Hyuuga and Kageura is quite intriguing and definitely worth exploring further.

Besides, it's cool to see Tamaki Hiroshi in scrubs Muack
