eDeka Wankof to return as special drama in January

The detective with a enosef for crime is back! Itfs been announced that actress Tabe Mikako has reprised her role as eHanamori Ichikof for the upcoming eDeka Wankoe special drama.

Titled eDeka Wanko New Yearfs Speciale, the special drama will take place in both Paris and the Edo period. Tabe remarked, gEdo, Paris, and love! There are many elements that will be packed in many places, so I think itfll be enjoyable. I also think the dialogue will be funny, so it would make me happy if you would look forward to it.h

eDeka Wankof was originally a manga by Morimoto Kozueko, serialized in the manga magazine eYOUe since April 2008. The story revolves around a rookie detective named eHanamori Ichikof (Tabe), who wears Gothic Lolita outfits and solves cases with her phenomenal sense of smell. The drama aired between January and March of this year, and the final episode pulled in a viewership rating of 15.8%. In April, it aired as a special drama episode called eDeka Wanko Chotto Dake Returnse.

This new special starts with Ichiko and her colleagues enjoying a vacation in Paris during Christmas. They suddenly receive a call to return back to Tokyo, however, theyfre unable to find their colleague Shigemura Kanichi (Sawamura Ikki). Ichiko tries to use her sense of smell to locate him, but she ends up getting lost and strays into an unknown city that seems like it belongs to the Edo period.

eDeka Wanko New Yearfs Specialf will air on January 7th from 9:00 p.m. JST.

No Erika Shameful Cry for the next Liar Game movie, Mikako is replacing her but as a new character called Yu Shinomiya, no replacing Nao but Mikako was good in Deka Wanko so she'll probably do a good job. Fingers crossed First trailer is out for it now, film is scheduled to come out on March 3rd.
