Very sweeet...Feel good dorama.I think the makers of this dorama intentionally implies some obvious similarities with Long Vacation. Origanally wanted to rate it 7 becoz were dissapointed with the lack of "ummph" for the supposedly climax scene (takki eyes+kiss lacks passion...starting to doubt his "LURUS"ness. If you love Sora Kara Furu Ichioku no Hoshi, you'll dig this one (there's Ryo in Takehiro).
A twisted tale and quite weird with dark comedy. I kind of hate the first part of the series because it drags. Also hated the bare breasted women (UGHH, YUK!).
The high rating is for takuya brilliant performance.Portraying totally different characters then smoothly merging it into one. Yukio is virtuous, innocent yet sexy while Takehiro is compulsive, nasty and wickedly mesmerizing. There's a part where takehiro reminds me of the vampire Lestat (int. with the vampire). The scene when he talks to his bestfriend, the light were reflected tru his eyes making it looked haunted like a cat on the verge of attacking. Those eyes... | Gokusen [ごくせん]

bad..had some moments but it it still turns out bad. Didn't even cared Nobu(Nino's character) died a painful death. i was like "oh. dead. good". Definately couldn't understand why Uchiyama Rina character refuse to stop pumping his heart & don't want him to die. They failed to make the audience feel enough compassion for Nobu (the kohai thingy should be more fleshier) and make Nobu much more sinister right from the start (making someone lick his shoes would be lovely). He is afteral a vicious young lad with a kind heart who Ichiban sensei adores and dotes to, but they failed in portraying this. Not a very good performance by Nino (but the scene when you tried to take on the tall Nagase Senpai was brilliant). The whole story is boring btw. There's some dry jokes, quirky moments & a dash of philosophy in it but all are rather sloppy. SLOPPY. | Hero

My first dorama and will always be my favourite. Each and everyone of the cast is amazing. Senna is the most endearing character takuya has played. I've watched it more than 10 times and still loving it. The best solution in treating heartache after watching depressing doramas (Sora Kara & Summer Snow - soo beautiful yet sad). I thought this dorama would sucked. How WRONG am I. Its comparable to a greek tragedy (groundbreaker.com-rolecall).The cast have done a great job portraying the roles. The love of the 3 main cast is so strong, it makes my heart aches. Katase Ryo is one of the most intriguing character takuya-kun have ever played. Eventhough I've expected the outcome, i cried out of shocked when the bullet hit.
Oh and by the way,its been 3 days since i've watch it but my heart still ached. | Stand UP!!

OMG!! I wouldn't expect to give this dorama a perfect score(no kimutaku;p),but it is so amazing! Tsuyoshi acting range is increadible, making me rooting for him in bringing Natsuo to life as a simple,quirky young man but full of charisma. I'm also very proud with Ryoko performance. Yes this is a GREAT drama. Unfortunately I won't give it a 10 because the first half is quite slow. Having said this, its still captivate me to keep on watching. I'm immensely impressed with Nakai performance (psychotic killer, cool pianist, childlike guilt stricken man),though sometimes it feels a bit forced. I can see that he put too much thought in the character that I saw that he is "acting". The leading lady+the cinematography is perfect and Ken Watanabe is the best japanese actor. I have to say I agree with SOME of the low rated reviews. I don't think this drama will be as entertaining without all the wonderful cast. The cast are lovely (hence my biasness). They did great with lowsy material to begin with. I can't stand the manga.. funny but annoying. I'm not satisfied with the storyline and they used a lot of cheap tricks to make the audience cry. However, overall it was entertaining.
If I'm not biased I might give this a 6. In the spirit of indulging my biasness, 1 extra point for Happiness and another for MimuTaro :P | Yasashii Jikan [優しい時間]
