Matsu Takako [松たか子] her looks are to be envied. her acting is great. she has natural beauty that's both kirei and kawaii. she's so flexible in her acting. she's a convincing outspoken tomboy in Hero. she's a convincing quiet, demure female in Long Vacation. That's what i consider range. FURTHERmore, she's got a pretty singing voice.
Nagai Masaru [永井大] he's endearing as the quiet, strong and protective helper in My Little Chef. but i've really got to ask, does anyone else think he has strong resemblance to that chinese-looking korean actor in the drama Firebird and Damo?
Nakamura Toru [仲村トオル] he's on his way (or is already there) to being considered as one of the "older" generation actors, but i'm still drawn to this guy. what is it about him that is sooo attractive? His eyes? The way he carries himself? He's married, settle down, and softened of person (as the japanese media has commented) but to me, he still exudes this masculine coolness you often don't get with bishounen actors.
Sakaguchi Kenji [坂口憲二] as a forever rurouni kenshin addict, i have to say that should rurouni kenshin ever be made into a drama, sakaguchi should definitely play sano. does anyone who understands the comparison i'm making see why i'm seeing the name tag: Hello my name is Sano on Sakaguchi-san?
Takenouchi Yutaka [竹野内豊] look at that picture, he really does exude all that strong, silent charm in his recent roles, like Ryuunosuke in Dekichatta Kekkon with hirosue ryoko. he wasn't at all this appealing in Heaven's coins. he's now got a rugged masculinity that makes his considerate gentlemen personality (like in Dekichatta Kekkon) all the more appealing.
Takizawa Hideaki [滝沢秀明] now that he's gotten older and more masculine-looking, i'm even more inclined to imagine him as the real person representation of himura kenshin (my forever favorite anime/manga obsession). should anyone ever turn rurouni kenshin into a drama, they should use takizawa. is it the red hair, short stature, lean muscles that has me making the comparison? hmm... anyway, he's bishounen (of which i'm not fan) but he does somewhat exude this boyish masculinity. even more so, now that he's getting more mature.
