madsky's drama votes (9)
Engine [エンジン]
Kimura, Koyuki, and cute children. Yay!
Gokusen [ごくせん]
I've never enjoyed a drama as much as I enjoyed Gokusen.
Good Luck !! [グッドラック!!]
Great cast, great story. This is totally unrelated to my vote, but I really like Kimura's hair in this. ^_^ And I liked the weird techno-y song in the opening sequence.
Kimi wa Petto [きみはペット]
I love Matsujun, he was great as Momo. (Kawaii squared ^_^) I'm also a Koyuki fan, and I feel she portrayed her character perfectly.
Kou Kou Kyoushi 2003 [高校教師 2003]
One of my favorites, a dark drama, but nonetheless, very very good!
Orange Days [オレンジデイズ]
GREAT :D
Pride [プライド]
Great cast, great soundtrack. My first J-Dorama, I will never forget it. ^_^
Summer snow
Great drama! It just seems like it's of a caliber higher than the rest.
Virgin Road [バージンロード]
One of my favorites. Great acting, great plot. How dare the writers scare me at the end like that! Anyways, I'd say it's a must see!

madsky's artiste votes (6)
Fujiki Naohito [藤木直人]
FUJIKI! He's so handsome. And he's talented too! He was great in Kou Kou Kyoushi 2003. This vote is in no way biased because I think he is one of the best looking Japanese men ever... >_>
Kimura Takuya [木村拓哉]
Aaah, Kimura gets my vote. He was in my first J-drama that got me hooked instantly, Pride. He was excellent in that and he plays all his roles well. He's also good looking! Hehe.
Koyuki [小雪]
She's pretty, and more importantly she's a great actress ^_^
Matsumoto Jun [松本潤]
Of course, MatsuJun is really really good looking ^_^ ...but he's also a great actor! He's always convincing in his roles, and I love to watch him.
Narimiya Hiroki [成宮寛貴]
Not just a pretty face (a very very very very pretty face at that ^_^), Nari is a great actor. He can play a variety of different roles. I first saw him in Kou Kou Kyoushi 2003 and was amazed by his brilliant performance as such an evil character.
Takeuchi Yuko [竹内結子]
It seems like acting is so natural for her.

Beautiful life [ビューティフルライフ]
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
Beautiful Life is the most touching drama I've ever seen. Kimura and Tokiwa have great chemistry, and both did great in their roles. (Especially Tokiwa, she was excellent as Kyoko.) You see their relationship grow throughtout the whole series, although the ending is sad... made me cry more than once. I also liked the sidestory with Masao and Sachie. Watabe was funny as Masao, he had such an awkward manner, very amusing XD. Overall, it's a nice, heartwarming love story.
Dekichatta Kekkon [できちゃった結婚]
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Engine [エンジン]
Rating: 9/10 (Watched)
KimuTaku and Koyuki together, two of my favorites, yay! This is actually my favorite Kimura dorama now. The little kids in the Kaze no Oka home were BEYOND ADORABLE. Especially Shunta ^________^ Misae looks exactly like a Japanese Selma Blair. Anyways... after watching the ending I feel all "Eh..." because I really was hoping for a predictable 100% super crazy rabu rabu celebration ending!...>_>... But I know things can't go my way, and the ending was still good. It's certainly worth a watch -- especially with all the kids -- it gives it a different, more warm feeling.
Gokusen [ごくせん]
Rating: 10/10 (Watched)
BEST DRAMA EVER~!
Good Luck !! [グッドラック!!]
Rating: 9/10 (Watched)
This is actually one of my favorites. Another great one for Kimura Takuya. I liked how they showed Kimura's character interacting with his family, playing around with his brother and trying to get through to his father. It seems like every character has something unique to add to the plot. I loved watching the subtle romance grow between Shinkai (Kimura) and Ogawa (Shibasaki), and Koda (Tsutsumi) finally loosening up and trying to start his relationship with Togashi (Kuroki) over. Then there was comic relief from Shinkai's crazy neighbor, and the pilot Naito Jane (Takenaka), who I really liked. I found the flights and incidents interesting. This drama makes me think pilots are so cool! It's definetly one everyone should look into watching.
GTO [麻辣教師]
Rating: 8/10
Awesome drama! ^_^
H2~Kimi to itahibi [2〜君といた日々]
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
Itsumo futari de [いつもふたりで]
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
Itsumo Futari De is a great drama! The episodes flowed together very well and it kept me glued to the screen. Matsu and Sakaguchi both did a great job, they have good chemistry. I really liked their characters. I also liked Kohei and Chika, they were cute. ^_^
Kimi wa Petto [きみはペット]
Rating: 9/10 (Watched)
I love Matsujun, he was great as Momo. (Kawaii squared ^_^) I'm also a Koyuki fan, and I feel she portrayed her character perfectly.
Koishite Shinitai [恋して死にたい]
Rating: 6/10 (Watched)
I would have given this drama a higher score, but I don't like the direction the later episodes took. I loved how Dohmoto and Fukada's characters were very sincere (although I got a little annoyed with them at the end...) I enjoyed this drama nontheless.
Kou Kou Kyoushi 2003 [高校教師 2003]
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
This drama was a lot different than any other drama I'd ever seen, it was pretty dark. But I loved it. I loved the interaction between Hina (Ueto) and Koga-sensei (Fujiki), they were fantastic in these roles. I liked the (weird!) plotline with Beniko (Sonim), Fujimura-sensei (Kyomoto), and Yuji (Narimiya) too. I think I should mention Narimiya played Yuji brilliantly. The plot was really unpredictable, it turned out to be so different than I had originally imagined. I know that what Koga did was horrible, but he just wanted someone to understand what he was feeling. No one in the right state of mind would do that, and because of his fatal illness, he obviously wasn't. Anyways, a great drama, with a sad ending.
Long vacation [ロングバケーション]
Rating: 5/10 (Watched)
I have mixed feelings. This drama was disappointing, not nearly as good as I had imagined, but maybe I just had high hopes - many people raved about it. I found many parts boring and hard to get through, but I have to admit there were just as many parts where I got into it. I didn't see myself caring whether the main characters ended up together or not, not as much as I usually do in these kind of dramas anyway. Nonetheless, the acting is good, and I suppose it's worth a watch.
Love generation [ラブジェネレーション]
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Lunch no Joou [ランチの女王]
Rating: 6/10 (Watched)
All of the characters in this drama were quite lovable (albeit a bit pathetic at times). The food looked so yummy! Overall, the drama kept my interest throughout, but the ending was unsatisfying. I didn't feel like I got anything out of this drama.
Mukodono! [ムコ殿/女婿大人]
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
I enjoyed this drama. I cried many times, and laughed as well. The last few episodes, in my opinion, were outstanding. The episodes where Yuichiro would help a different family member were enjoyable, don't get me wrong, but I just feel that theme has been done before. Yuichiro (Nagase) and Sakura (Takeuchi) were adorable together, it was cute how they acted so mushy. I'm a fan of Takeuchi, and this was my first time seeing Nagase, and I like him now as well. The supporting cast was good too, yay for Aiba Masaki!
Orange Days [オレンジデイズ]
Rating: 10/10 (Watched)
Wow, what a great drama. Tsumabuki and Shibasaki were just brilliant as Kai and Sae (and I didn't even like Shibasaki before this!). They are two truly unforgettable characters. I HIGHLY recommend watching this.
Pride [プライド]
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
I loved Pride. Although I wouldn't say it's the best, it introduced me to the wonder that is J-Dorama and for that it is very near and dear to my heart. It has a great cast (Kimura, Takeuchi, Sakaguchi...) and the romance + ice hockey made it interesting. The reason I couldn't give it a 10 is because of the episodes when they were seperated (Such torture! Couldn't it be resolved quicker?). The ending was good, but somehow not enough. Anyways, I think Kimura and Takeuchi make a great couple (better than Kimura and Matsu Takako! >:P~) Oh, and Queen soundtrack, what more could I ask for?
Summer snow
Rating: 10/10 (Watched)
Excellent! Even though I knew the ending before watching ( ;_; sad...). I loved the characters, especially Natsuo, Yuki, Jun, Chika, and Hiroto! ^_^ Out of all the dramas I've seen, I'd recommend this one the most! It's unlike any of the others I've seen.
Tentai Kanzoku [天体観測]
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
Not perfect, but still very good.
Virgin Road [バージンロード]
Rating: 10/10 (Watched)
I loved this drama. Wakui and Sorimachi are both great actors, and I loved Takeda as Kazumi's Oto-san. The scene in the hospital room with Kazumi and her father, with Kaoru in the background (after he brings her back from her mother's grave) was so touching! I've never cried so hard during a drama as I did then. Also, the ending was just perfect. I'd recommend it to anyone who likes love stories, this was really an excellent drama.
With love
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
This drama moves really slow. But... I really liked it. I have to say though, only watch this is you're a Takenouchi Yutaka fan or if you really enjoy love stories. It's a great romance drama :)
Yamato Nadeshiko [やまとなでしこ【大和撫子】]

Gokusen [ごくせん]
One of the best [Rating: 10/10]
I enjoyed Gokusen from start to finish. I never found myself smiling at the computer screen as often I did while watching this. Nakama Yukie was wonderful as Yankumi, and Matsumoto Jun was also great as Sawada Shin. ALL of the characters were memorable, and I loved the unity and loyalty of Sawada and his friends and the rest of 3-D. I could go on forever listing all the great things about this drama, but I have to stop somewhere. I'll say one last thing -- GTO ain't got nothing on Gokusen.
Good Luck !! [グッドラック!!]
Very impressed. [Rating: 10/10]

Summer snow
GREAT DRAMA. [Rating: 10/10]
I've been putting off watching Summer Snow because I already knew the ending, but I just couldn't hold off any longer! But I did watch it with a sense of dread, because it is sad. But overall I feel satisfied after watching it. This drama was great, not the standard plot line, and pretty much unpredicable. I really loved all the characters. The acting from them, especially the main 5, was great, especially the chemistry between Natsuo (Dohmoto) and Yuki (Hirosue). It is definetly a drama I won't soon forget, and a must watch for any dorama fan.
Tentai Kanzoku [天体観測]
I liked it. [Rating: 9/10]
I originally got this drama because I'm a Koyuki fan and I also wanted to see Sakaguchi, but I was pleasently surprised. The entire cast was great. It's a drama about a lasting bond of friendship between 7 individuals, and how it helped them through struggles in their life. There were many touching moments (I especially liked the part when the old people gave Satomi the picture) and I was glued to the screen from start to finish. The ending was sad and I was a little bit disappointed in the last episode, but overall it does deserve a 9 out of 10.
Virgin Road [バージンロード]
