Summer snow Oh, please. -_- [Rating: 5/10] Tsuyoshi is a surprisingly good actor. For the most part, he's very funny and engaging. Shun Oguri is wonderful as Jun, and Ryoko Hirosue is an enjoyable Yuki, despite crying hysterically and rather irritatingly throughout the entire show. Even Tsubasa Imai did a decent job, which is notable, as he doesn't appear to have much experience in the drama department.
This show was great -- I laughed, I cried, I imagined Jun naked, I had a good time -- UNTIL THE LAST EPISODE, which was completely and utterly god-awful. I was rolling my eyes so hard I thought my head might explode. Seriously. I won't give away the ending, but I will say that the thought crossed my mind early on -- maybe episode 4 or 5 -- and I dismissed it, saying, "Nah, that's way too stupid and cliched. The wouldn't actually use that for the ending." Well, uh... they did. And if you have more than half a brain, I'm sure you'll pick up on exactly what they're going to do WAY before they actually do it... and you'll laugh because the idea is so lame and played out, then you'll think to yourself, "Oh, god. Why did I waste 10 hours of my life watching this drama? I CAN NEVER GET THAT 10 HOURS BACK AGAIN!"
The ending ruins the entire series. If you absolutely MUST see Summer Snow, please don't bother downloading or watching episode 11, as you will regret it for the rest of your mortal life.
Thank you.
