Ichi Ritoru no Namida [1リットルの涙]
This drama kills me emotionally, but it's so beautiful and uplifting that it really doesn't matter. Erika is absolutely amazing in this. After watching this drama, I have to say that it's THE best drama I've ever seen (especially in terms of how much it has affected me). It's told from such a tender and loving viewpoint, from a young girl who tries to live life despite her illness and to live happily at that. It will brutally shatter your heart to pieces, but it will also inspire you in ways that can't be explained... we are taken on a journey, from the first moments of Aya's discovery of her illness to when it all ends. We watch her laugh, we watch her cry, we watch her battle the illness like she were our own friend. The OST is wonderful, but I'm very wary of listening to it because it always makes me cry. Anybody who doesn't watch 1LOT is missing out BIG TIME.

Nagasawa Masami [長沢まさみ]
There's something about Masami that I can't quite put a finger on... she's nowhere near as stunning as say somebody like Misaki Ito, but she has this charm, this tender beauty about her that is deeper than any other Japanese lady I've watched. She has the most infectious, adorable smile too! First saw her in Proposal Daisakusen, where she was so endearing and beautiful. Her acting was also top notch; she was able to convey so much emotion with the slightest change of expression. I was in awe of her in that series - she just shone like a star. I then decided to see Last Friends for her, and though she was very cute in this series, the role of Michiru limited her ability to showcase her acting talents. Her movies have also been great and very enjoyable to watch. I hope this girl continues to go far, the way she has, because she is top stuff. There is a reason why she is Japan's top girl. Love her.
Sawajiri Erika [沢尻エリカ]
This girl has the whole package. She's so cute and beautiful, but more importantly she managed to pull off such a difficult role in 1LOT with such talent and conviction. She simply astonished me. I really don't know how she was able to do it, to play the role of a girl who slowly loses all physical ability and make it look so real *blinks* I will NEVER forget her portrayal of Aya... she broke my heart and lifted my spirits with every eye blink. This girl is going to get far, I can promise you that much! EDIT. She's really turning the tables on herself, isn't she. Erika hasn't really made much of herself lately (more of getting on people's nerves). Her atttiude has most certainly damaged her reputation. I can only hope she does not continue to spiral down and drive herself onto people's hate lists. She can be so much better than this!
Tsumabuki Satoshi [妻夫木聡]
I first saw this guy in Orange Days and fell head over heels for him. He has such a handsome, sweet feel about him, the perfect kind of guy to have as a boyfriend. He plays his roles with charisma and conviction. And that smile, really is, to die for. No. 1 Japanese guy in my books. *is in love*
Ueno Juri [上野樹里]
What can I say about this darling... she's probably the cutest Japanese actress I've seen onscreen! (Nodame!) She seems like such a sweetheart, and her acting versatility is ever apparent as she switched from quirky, lovable Nodame to awesomely cool Ruka in Last Friends. And boy can she ACT. I thought she was particularly good in the Nodame Cantabile SP. Cute to boot (and Utada Hikaru agrees enthusiastically!) and a very down-to-earth nature about her that makes her so adorable. Go Ueno Juri, you rock girl.
Won Bin [ウォンビン]
The dreamiest guy on the face of the planet, hands down @_@ He is everything: he's cute, he's handsome, he's hot and sexy, he's talented, he's down-to-earth and extremely adorable, both looks and personality wise. I can't get enough of this guy... those eyes can kill, those lips can do worse and that smile... *sticks spork into self*

Densha Otoko [電車男]
Rating: 10/10 (Bought & Watched)
I watched this drama on the recommendation of a friend. The storyline, despite people not liking it so much, already interested me a lot. I watched the whole series in the span of a day. It was so addictive.. true, the humour and acting was really corny and over the top here and there, but the striking parts of the drama are what help pull it through and make it so enjoyable to watch. The whole idea of the forum was very good and well done. I think Densha was a little overplayed by Atsushi and his constant crying and constipated expressions were a tad irritating and repetitive, but you can't help but love him nonetheless. And Misaki Itou @__@ goodness me, I'm a girl and I've always crushed after the guys, but she was SO beautiful and convincing in this one that I found myself wanting her myself sometimes.. lol. All in all, this is a drama that should not be missed. There IS a reason why this series has been so talked about.
Hana Yori Dango [花より男子]
Rating: 9/10 (Bought & Watched)
Comparing it to Meteor Garden is a little hard since both are so diffferent, but I can say for a fact that this drama doesn't let down. Overall, I still love Meteor Garden better, but this one stands well on its own. It's funny, short and sweet and has a great soundtrack. I enjoyed it immensely and I'm sure many people would too. ^___^
Ichi Ritoru no Namida [1リットルの涙]
Rating: 10/10 (Bought & Watched)
Never seen anything like this in my life. It's been 6 months since I last watched it, and I still cry listening to the OST. I cry listening to OSTs of other dramas thinking about 1LOT. It's made that much of an impact on me. Erika Sawajiri gives the perfomance of her life here, and I believe it's probably a little too hard to surpass her accomplishments in this one. It may be a little depressing to watch, but it is ultimately uplifting and inspiring. It made me want to treasure every little thing life had to give. Anything under a 10 for this series is absolutely absurd.
Orange Days [オレンジデイズ]
Rating: 10/10 (Bought & Watched)
I bought this not knowing exactly what to expect, but I'm glad I did because it is a really awesome, touching and well made series. I wasn't so fond of the characters at first, but as I kept watching everything grew on me. Talk about a superb OST! It's amazing. The characters are so real, Kou and Satashi did a wonderful job. It's a simple story about love and friendship, but a truly remarkable one.
