101 Kaime no Puropozu [101回目のプロポーズ]
101st Proposal-My first review on Jdorama.com! [Rating: ?/10]
I've seen the Korean version of this Jdorama on ABS-CBN channel 2 here in the Philippines. I haven't seen the Japanese version, but I was surprised when I found out that it was based on a Jdorama made during the year 1991. I've read the info, and the story's just the same... I think the Korean version of Tatsuro was more good-looking than the Japnese one. The female lead in the Korean version was Choi-Ji Woo, but I think the Japanese actress who played her role before was prettier than her. Anyways, this series got my approval. Never mind if it's Japanese or Korean.
Beautiful life [ビューティフルライフ]
Beautiful Life... [Rating: 10/10]
I admit I haven't seen this one yet, but I think it's going to be shown here in the Philippines...hopefully. Anyway, this reminded me of an old American tv-movie entitled "Leave Yesterday Behind", which was made in 1978. Unlike "Beautiful Life", "Leave Yesterday Behind" also deals with a paraplegic... but here, it's a man (played by John Ritter) who got wheelchair-bound after falling off a horse during a riding accident. He goes to a vacation in his grandpa's ranch, and there, meets this pretty horse trainer (Carrie Fisher) who told him to get a life. They eventually fell in love with each other, but the dilemma here is that the girl is engaged to be married to her fiance. Even though I haven't seen both, I can judge that both dramas have a touching and endearing story--"Beautiful Life" and "Leave Yesterday Behind". I wish somebody would make a Jdorama version of "Leave Yesterday Behind". I hope it'll be better than the original.
