Antique Pop's drama votes (1)
Hana Yori Dango [花より男子]
My favorite, as of the moment. I have watched up to episode 6, and it is very entertaining. I love Mao Inoue, and this drama is slowly convincing me that Jun should be one of my favorite actors. :P

Antique Pop's artiste votes (8)
Akanishi Jin [赤西仁]
He's probably my favorite KAT-TUN member, not because I think he's the prettiest (I honestly think Junno is the most good-looking :P), but because he has a wonderful voice. I've seen him in Gokusen 2 and Anego, and he did good performances in both, but he will improve more through the years.
Horikita Maki [堀北真希]
She is beautiful! Not the glamorous kind of beautiful, but leaning more towards cutesy ;D I loved her in Nobuta. wo Produce; she definitely stood out in her role as Nobuko Kotani. I have yet to see other dramas of her, but she definitely gets my vote.
Inoue Mao [井上真央]
Impressive performance in Hana Yori Dango. She suited the role pretty well and plus, she's very cute! I will have to see her in other dramas in the future, but even as of now, I really like her.
Matsumoto Jun [松本潤]
Certainly not the best singer in Arashi, but I think MatsuJun is a great dancer. And definitely one of my favorite actors. His role in Kimi wa Petto made an impact on me; I am convinced that no other actor could play the part of Momo as well as Jun did. He was also good in Gokusen, but after watching Hana Yori Dango, I saw how much his acting has improved through the years. He makes such an adorable, and lovable Domyouji. I'm waiting for more dramas from this guy!
Nakama Yukie [仲間由紀恵]
I absolutely LOVED her as Yankumi! She is seriously, one of the prettiest actresses I have laid my eyes on. She is just stunning!
Nishikido Ryo [錦戸亮]
I've watched him in both Ganbatte Ikimasshoi and Ichi Rittoru no Namida, and considering the fact that he actually doesn't like acting ;O he's pretty good at it. PLUS he's absolutely gorgeous! I really loved him as Asou-kun :)
Oguri Shun [小栗旬]
I love him! He has those certain striking features which I think you wouldn't really find in the typical attractive guy (but he's cute), but who cares. This guy can act! I've seen him in a lot of roles he has played, and I must say that the transition from one role to another isn't really easy, and yet, I am satisfied by how he plays them all. I'm looking forward to more from Shun as he definitely goes in my top favorite actors list :)
Sawajiri Erika [沢尻エリカ]
Before Ichi Rittoru no Namida, I only knew of her as an idol. I always thought she was so beautiful, but upon watching Ichi Rittoru, her performance has managed to move me to tears. She is a great actress! Hope to see her in more roles in the future.

Gokusen [ごくせん]
I loved this one. [Rating: 9/10]
This drama got me hooked until the end, and no parts were dragging in my case. The story is not entirely original, and the stories in the manga were still better in my opinion (it was like a whole new story; they just kept the basic theme and the characters). But, the drama was still as enjoyable. The acting, I think, was quite good. Nakama Yukie's performance as Yankumi was funny, and I loved her in this drama. :) My favorite actor in this one is Oguri Shun. The difference of his role as Uchiyama and his role in GTO as Noburu is quite huge, and it's interesting to see him act as the bully this time around. Narimiya Hiroki was good, even though this was his first big role. Matsumoto Jun was absolutely pretty as Sawada. Overall, he didn't give off the impression that manga-Shin made on me, but he was still cool. I loved this drama, and I did not regret of buying it.
Hana Yori Dango [花より男子]
loved it :) [Rating: 10/10]
This is my favorite drama so far. It had its share of lame and boring scenes, and cheesy lines, but there was just something about this drama that has kept me wanting for more. I was almost never let down from beginning to end. Now, to say that Matsumoto Jun is a good actor is an understatement. At first I never expected him to do well as Domyouji Tsukasa, mainly because there are just so many things about him that don't quite match with the character of Domyouji. He proved me wrong as the story went on; he played a Domyouji that no one else could have. I am truly satisfied and impressed with his acting skills. Inoue Mao is a great actress! She was cute throughout the series, and she fitted into the character of Tsukushi very well. I would love to see her in more lead roles soon! The other actors also did well for their part. Hana Yori Dango is pretty much everywhere and the story in itself is quite basic, but the actors' performances and the (high-budgeted) overall presentation of the series added to its expected success. I would recommend the series, definitely. And I'm looking forward to a second season perhaps? ;D
Ichi Ritoru no Namida [1リットルの涙]
beautiful [Rating: 10/10]
This was an absolutely splendid drama; everything from the actors' performances, the story to the music even was superb. I cried so much from watching this drama. Erika Sawajiri was a great lead actress :) She pulled off a very moving performance and overall, she did a great job. Nishikido Ryo was a good supporting actor, and his character was absolutely lovable. A special mention as well to Narumi Riko, because she was brilliant despite her young age. This drama will make you shed a lot of tears; don't be fooled by initial impression. This has taught me a lot of important lessons and has made a great impact on me. I love it!
Kimi wa Petto [きみはペット]
My favorite. [Rating: 10/10]
The manga, I thought at first, was silly, weird and unbelievable. A young ballet dancer being the pet 'dog' of a career woman seemed hard to swallow. Yes, it is quite a silly story, but I found it to be a beautiful silly story. In this drama, you will learn the importance of being genuine amidst the person you love most, and the warmth that only a 'pet' can give you. The drama was enjoyable for me, most probably because of the relationship of Sumire and Momo and how it develops through the series. Koyuki was lovely in this drama. I agree with those who said that she suited the role of Sumire, and her acting is indeed believable. She is a very beautiful actress, and her talent will get her far. I fell in love with Matsumoto Jun in this drama. He was adorable as Momo, and I believe no other could have played the part. He was absolutely great in this one! To those of you who have not seen this, but love the light romantic comedies which in a way, teach you some of the simplest lessons in life and love, do not skip this drama. You will be missing a lot if you do. =)
Mukodono! [ムコ殿/女婿大人]
i loved it :) [Rating: 8/10]
It wasn't exactly the best drama I've seen, but it doesn't mean that I didn't find this drama enjoyable and yet touching at the same time. It was the typical type of drama: cheesy with a bit of comedy. I had a great time watching it though, especially since the drama wasn't all about the love story but it gives special importance to family. I found Tomoya Nagase really silly, funny and good looking. I was contented with his performance, overall. Takeuchi Yuko is adorable! Sakura got annoying at times for me, but most of the time she was just being cute and hilariously mushy. And a special mention to Shinohara Ryoko, because I thought she stood out and she's absolutely beautiful and very talented. :)
Nobuta wo Produce [野ブタ。をプロデュース]
quite good. [Rating: 8/10]
Many seemed to enjoy this drama for the pretty boys. I did expect that. After all, it's Japan and its convenient marketing strategies. Fall of last year, almost everybody I know was nuts about this, doing the kon and whatnot. I'm not a big fan of either Kame or Yamapi, but I was pushed to watch this solely because of curiosity. I actually still couldn't believe that I consider this an overall good watch! The story is simple and usual; themes include love, friendship and everything else cheesy. I absolutely loved the performance of the actress, Maki Horikita. I couldn't have imagined anybody else in that role. Kame was okay, actually good in my opinion and better than what I expected. There was indeed an improvement in Yamapi, and his character Akira was a sweetie. I also liked Erika Toda's performance. :) I never bargained for anything more than the usual in Nobuta. wo Produce, and indeed it was as typical as every other youth-centric drama. But it was good in its own simple way, made me laugh a lot of times and stressed on what friendship really meant. I would recommend this to anybody who likes those entertaining and light-hearted dramas that hold very simple meaning. I liked it!
Pride [プライド]
good [Rating: 8/10]
I'm not a big fan of hockey, or even a huge Takuya Kimura fan at that, but I watched this because I had nothing else to watch one afternoon. :P At first I was neutral about this; the story seemed nothing spectacular. But well, turns out that this drama is very enjoyable and fun to watch! Yuko Takeuchi is love. I really find this actress pretty and I like the way she carries her roles (cute and funny in Mukodono and Queen of Lunch). Her character Aki is quite a difference from the bubbly personalities of the other roles I've seen her in. KimuTaku was so cute in this drama, those I have noticed that he always plays these kinds of characters. The thing I loved the most in this drama was the camaraderie among the members of the hockey team and the support they give for each other. I found the cheesy ending quite laughable and old-fashioned but I'm glad it was a happy one ;P Good drama.
Stand UP!!
one of my favorites [Rating: 8/10]
Some others may think this drama is pretty much stupid and pointless, but we are all entitled to our own opinions. And as for me, I liked this drama! It's one of the first ones I've ever watched, and it got me laughing in every episode. It has a poor plot, and yes, it is silly and quite pointless. But there is just a certain charm in this drama that got me hooked until the end. The acting was mediocre; Nino, I think, is a great actor and should be in more of these quite interesting roles. YamaPi, I have to admit, was stiff in this drama and he wasn't as convincing. Narimiya Hiroki and Oguri Shun were good, and so was Anne Suzuki.
