| Gakko ja Oshierarenai! [学校じゃ教えられない!] Rating: 8/10 Creative plotlines like this point to the genius of Japanese scriptwriters. I love the humor of it all. I'm just sorry the romance between the first couple didn't develop. The teacher character was annoying. That actress has been typecast as a dumb blonde. | Gal Cir [ギャルサ]

| Liar Game [ライアーゲーム] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) Liked seeing the main character work things out. Otherwise, characters were shallow, one-dimensional, and annoying. | Long Love Letter [ロング・ラブレター〜漂流教室]

Long vacation [ロングバケーション]
| Love Shuffle [ラブシャッフル] Rating: 9/10 (Watched) When I first read the story line, I thought it was going to be obscene and stupid. It was alright. I like how Kairi can act without talking. It was a cute and funny trendy drama. Everything from the four professionals having late night tea in the hallway to the "Panda!" jokes had me laughing. The relationship between the characters felt real, not played out. Mei's character was so annoying. I liked the darkness Kairi brought into the story, and the side stories that played along. A drama that had me hooked. Some things threw me off at the end, so it wasn't too predictable. A decent OST, good dialogue, and one I can watch again. | Maou [魔王]

Nobuta wo Produce [野ブタ。をプロデュース] (Watched) | Nodame Cantabile [のだめ カンタビ−レ] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) I love the humor and the ridiculousness of it all. | Orange Days [オレンジデイズ] Rating: 9/10 (Watched) A complex relationship. I'm a fan of the main actor, so that kept me watching. The main actor and actress play well together. Moments in this movie touched me pretty deep. |
Orthros no Inu [オルトロスの犬] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) A suspense drama with Taki as the bad guy and Nishikido as the good guy. Can it get any better? Mizukawa's acting sucked big time. She's got potential, but needs to develop it before getting on the same stage as the big guys. Her part wasn't planned in well in terms of her relationship with the two lead males. Her character is flat. The whole time she refuses to use the power of death, until her boss, the one whom she doesn't seem to care about, dies. She just seems to be following the script on cue., so her acting isn't natural. Plotline is interesting, but a little more complexity could have been added to Taki's character, and I definitely wanted to see more going on between the brothers at the end. | Ruri no shima [瑠璃の島] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) This is the first drama that made me feel at peace. I love Narumi Riko as an actress. | Taiyo no Kisetsu [太陽の季節] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) I like Taki playing dark characters. Although he was dark throughout the whole thing, the hope that love would break through him kept me watching. Reminds me of Zeni Geba. Not a happy watch. |
Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge [ヤマトナデシコ七変化] Rating: 4/10 (Watched) Predictable storyline that is also erratic and hard to swallow (a guy who is disowned for being too handsome? Four handsome guys living in one clean mansion without much care in the world?) I liked it for the humor and good looking actors. | | |
