Ueno Juri [上野樹里] A very talented young actress who is capable of taking on a variety of roles, Ueno Juri has been a joy to watch. A very pretty, lively and energetic young lady from what I've seen in interviews, game shows, etc, and it's that charm that along with her great acting that has me head over heels for her.

Beautiful life [ビューティフルライフ] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) Heartwarming and heartwrenching, I enjoyed watching Kyoko develop as a character, slowly opening up to Shuji, who's a bit misunderstood at times.
Jodan Janai! [冗談じゃない！] Rating: 4/10 (Watched) I gave this drama a shot simply because Ueno Juri was in it, but she alone could not save this drama from a weak story and little character development. Even Ueno Juri doesn't bring much to the table in this one, sticking to her cute charm and a pouty face to swoon over.
Last Friends [ラスト・フレンズ] Rating: 6/10 (Watched) A show with a lot of promise initially, only to be dragged down by poor writing and direction.
Nodame Cantabile [のだめ カンタビ−レ] Rating: 10/10 (Watched) At first glance, Nodame Cantabile comes across as over-the-top, quirky, even badly acted at times, but once you realize that the series doesn't take itself seriously it really becomes enjoyable. Great acting by Ueno Juri as Nodame, while Tamaki Hiroshi holds his own as the maestro in training Chiaki Shinichi. The great classical music pieces also help to move the story along and is never once a chore to listen to.
Orange Days [オレンジデイズ] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) The relationship between the group of friends was nicely played out, but I really enjoyed the relationship between Kai and Sae.
Papa to Musume no Nanokakan [パパとムスメの７日間] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) A simple story about a father and daughter who magically switch bodies, forcing each to go through each others lives while attempting to figure a way to get back. A good series, with a decent story, some character development, and thankfully the drama never tries to be more than it ought to be.
Proposal Daisakusen [プロポーズ大作戦] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) A decent story of a guy going back in time trying to win his childhood friend over. The acting isn't so great, but this drama is filled with funny moments that help move it along.
