Big wing [ビッグウイング] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) entertaining. kashiwabara is very good looking. each episode contains a story about the airport. a "feel good: series
Bijo ka Yajuu [美女か野獣] Rating: 10/10 (Bought) great chemistry between fukuyama and matsushima. loved how fukuyama can melt the strong personality of matsushima.
Brand [ブランド] Rating: 9/10 (Watched) miki portrayed a very elegant woman to the end. both supporting actors were very good looking. i love the plot wherein modernity and tradition struggles to the end.
Cheap Love [チープラブ] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) sorimachi is great in this drama. though he seems to belong to the underworld he has a redeeming factor- the winning of good versus evil in the end. I rate this an 8/10 simply because the end though seemingly happy was very tragic- simply an anthithesis!
Good Luck !! [グッドラック!!] Rating: 10/10 fournd kimi taku to be fit for the role. discovered the great acting talents of tsutsumi shinichi and became an instant fan
GTO [麻辣教師] Rating: 10/10 sorimachi is both comical and dramatic- perfect.
loved all scenes-sometimes too shocking for a high school setting for those familiar with this kind of culture.
Hero Rating: 5/10 (Watched) the story was good but the role of kimura lacked his usual energetic self.
Home & Away [ホーム&アウェイ] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) interesting. good stories for every episode adventure.
Hyakunen no monogatari [百年の物語] Rating: 10/10 (Watched) Very moving. Culturally , this revealed the feelings of Japanese women through the changing times towards the modern era
Kou Kou Kyoushi 2003 [高校教師 2003] Rating: 10/10 (Watched) HS Teacher 2003 represents a very disturbing theme for a drama. Though I find the romantic relationaship between teacher and student quite shocking--considering these girls were considerably younger-- it also opens the viewers eyes to some extent that this may indeed happen in reality , after all teachers are human-subjected to emotions of sadness and passion. I found Ueto and Somin acting with much maturity far beyond their ages. Kyomito as Fujimura is someone you either loved or hated. Fujiki as Koga could only tear your heart to pieces with such emotional sadness especially in the scenes where he was dying-- his projected strenghth was awe inspiring. Simply a great drama, despite the twisted plots.
Kyousoukyoku [協奏曲] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) the plot is quite unique. what i do not agree is the materialistic and undecisive portrayal of miyazama in this drama. great acting for both takuya and masakazu, great team.theme music very influential to the plot.
Aoi Tori [青い鳥] moving [Rating: 10/10] I found the emotions in the drama very moving. To wait for a long time for one's love can only be determined by faith.
this is the very first japanese drama i watched, though it was not subtitled ( i barely understand japanese), the actions of all the artists conveyed the message-that subtitling was almost not necessary.
Engine [エンジン] Emotional Speed [Rating: 10/10] Jiro Kanazaki was tailor made for Kimura Takuya. A race car driver by profession with a heart of steel yet is compassionate.
The story itself gives importance in the building of character yet shows humanity in emotion. Entertaining and very heart warming- especially the children. This contains all the elements of a good drama - can make you laugh and cry at the same time. Highly recommended for all ages.
Tokyo Wankei [東京湾景] love transcending cultural differences [Rating: 10/10] this drama for me combines "wishes" and "realities", fate and love transcending all bounderies. can this real happen? is fate something that we cannot evade, despite and inspite of all odds?--- i loved this drama, if only for the chemistry of wada and yukie. i am from a different culture and is not familiar if this kind of romance between korean and japanese is indeed possible-but if only for the love story, i find it unique and very heartwarming.
