Dekichatta Kekkon [できちゃった結婚]
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
The acting ability of Hirosue Ryoko is greatly overshadowed by the more mature actor Takenouchi Yutaka. Good drama in that it addresses relevant social issues- however, poor crew/staff selection.
GTO [麻辣教師]
Rating: 8/10
Good acting, good story lines, there's absolutely no need to make GTO a sex maniac, ruins the whole personality of the film.
Hero
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Interestine take on the justice system in Japan. Predictable solution for lots of episodes. Lack of continuity.
Hoshi no kinka 1 [星の金貨]
Rating: 9/10 (Bought & Watched)
Best takenouchi drama. The plot is just complicated enough to get you moving. Beautiful story line and moving character development.
Hyakunen no monogatari [百年の物語]
Rating: 9/10 (Bought & Watched)
A near perfect drama series. Points off for the last story of the century- slow moving, bad acting, unbelievable plot. While the first two stories are full of redemptive themes, the last one is practically a joke.
Koori no sekai [冰の世界]
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
A+ for creativity in what you would traditionally expect for a romance drama. Limited character development for Nanako Matsushima's role, otherwise, worth trotting through the sometimes too repetitive plot.
Long vacation [ロングバケーション]
Rating: 7/10 (Bought & Watched)
This drama defintely lives up to its reputation of being a "oldie but goodie".
Majo no jouken [魔女の条件]
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Wonderful acting once again by Matsushima, nonetheless, poor story line punctuated by inexperienced acting of the leading male role. Unbelievable emotional involvement, way over dramatized teenage crush.
Manatsu no Merry Christmas [真夏のメリークリスマス]
Rating: 7/10 (Bought & Watched)
An interestine perspective on a different population who lives in Tokyo- more down to earth, less snobbish.
Omiai kekkon [お見合い結婚]
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
Unlike many of its counter-parts, the plot of this drama actually goes somewhere- contains many thought-provoking one-liners, perfect touch of humor.
Risou no kekkon [理想の結婚]
Rating: 8/10 (Bought & Watched)
Get ready for some good laughes. I really like Takenouchi Yutaka's role in this drama- he is a lot more out-going. Even though some have said his role is a bit "low-IQ", I still prefer it over a "stand-offish" cool attitude he has in most of his dramas.
Seikimatsu no uta [世紀末の詩]
Rating: 5/10 (Bought & Watched)
The only interestine point is takenouchi's acting. Plot is boring and characters are way out of the world.
Taiyou wa shizumanai
Rating: 10/10 (Watched)
This is the best J- drama I have ever watched- it's a more dramatic version of the kind of drama like "ice world": a bit of mystery, a bit of reality, a lot of character development, wonderful script, moving portrayal of family relationships.
With love
Rating: 6/10 (Watched)
Absolutely no sparks between the two main characters... after all, what can one expect out of a internet-Romance?
Yamato Nadeshiko [やまとなでしこ【大和撫子】]
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
Very close-to-heart acting by Nanako Matsushima. Much more sophisticated in comparison to GTO, but it takes some pretty far-off imagination to follow the story line...

Hoshi no kinka 1 [星の金貨]
A true classic [Rating: 9/10]
One of the best j-drama I have watched. Everything from the script to the acting deserve A+. Even though the love story itself is a bit too melodramatic, it outlines the self-giving nature of love beautifully. Thumbs up for the outstanding moral character of the protagonists (there are several). This is one drama you will watch and savor for years to come.
