BMW
On one of the PBS specials about Nat King Cole they did a whole section on how popular he was in Japan in the 50's and early 60's. He did quite a few tours there, and he did most of his concerts in Japanese, learning the lyrics phonetically. His albums were top sellers in both English and Japanese in Japan.
There's an American stage show about his career, mostly focusing on his music, and it was a major success when it toured Japan a couple of years ago. _________________ Manga is to Literature

I wonder if those scenes are still around. Would love to visit them if I go Japan. Could have a Swing Girls location tour. What you guys think? We should all save some money and plot a journey. Will take alot of time/effort and money, but I'm sure it would be a great experience.

Yeah, it'd be cool... Though the movie is nearly five years old... Not sure if any of that stuff is still around.
I was hoping there would've been a sequel... And there were rumors of one with Juri-chan a couple of years ago...

mite yokattttaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!
After laughing like crazy through the whole show, I had the blues the minute it ended, these kind of blues you get when you see your best friends off (wakaru ?)
Anyway, I'm so glad I got to see Juri-chan in yet another awsome role involving music!!!
Just wanted to share the feeling (thanks for reading!) |
I felt the same way: Right after Nodame, I watched Swing Girls... Juri-chan had me hooked.

Sequel would still work well, maybe they all meet at their 5th reunion and that magic is rekindled again. _________________
