More updates..

Large screen print incurs a fixed cost, so its no problem for me.

Some quotes I had... prices in Singapore dollars and for 1 color on the back and 2 colors in front.

1) Round neck cotton black tee - $8/100pcs
2) Round neck dri-fit black tee - $10/100pcs
3) Honeycomb black polo-tee (ladies cut available) - $11/100pcs
4) Honeycomb black polo-tee with red/orange/green/gray piping - $12/100pcs
5) Dri-fit black polo tee (ladies cut available) - $11/100pcs
6) Dri-fit black polo tee with light blue piping - $14/100pcs

This excludes any shipping fees if anyone were to order. I've no idea how many people are interested, so I just requested a quote for 100pcs.

Thoughts?

The price is for 1, right? If it's #1 or #2 without colored collar, I'd probably buy 5 or 10. Probably more like 10. It'll give me a reason to throw away my tee shirt with a big 1994 on the front. hehe Beaten For the others models maybe 1 or 2.

Here are the prices in CAD (Canadian$), USD (U.S. $) and EUR (Euro) for today. If yours isn't in the list, you can convert it here.
SGD -> CAD -> USD -> EUR
$8 -> 5.84 ... 5.27 ... 3.90
$10 -> 7.30 ... 6.58 ... 4.87
$11 -> 8.03 ... 7.24 ... 5.36
$12 -> 8.75 ... 7.90 ... 5.85
$11 -> 8.03 ... 7.24 ... 5.36
$14 -> 10.21 ... 9.22 ... 6.82

The prices seem awfully low... Are these heavyweight cotton tees or are they made out of tissue?

My school has done T-shirts... and this sounds about right. Keep in mind that when you buy shirts at the stores, the prices are inflated to make a profit.

What about mugs? Since this t-shirt has gotten the most votes so far:
, I decided to adapt the design for the mug, too.

Yup, hence why I use it. But Genma also expressed being a bit more creative instead of just having the plain logo. Hence why I have the JD graphic.

Actually it should be...
Nihon no dorama no hou (<-there's a kanji for this too) ga suki desu.

As for the T-shirt idea, SARS-Fansubs is actually doing the same thing here.

We're sticking to Cafepress.com at the moment to see if the idea is worthwhile. Sweat

A downside could be that SARS is more commonly known as Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome... Sweat

Yup.

But Genma might have to order 100 of each as a minimum, not 50 of each design for a total of 100. Sweat

I still wanna know what the quality of the tees are... Rolling eyes

Yea true... I've had shifty, itchy ts before. NOT nice on sensitive skin.

They do seem awfully cheap... I would rather pay a few bucks more for a good quality tee.

Me too.

I'm thinking like Hanes Beefy-Ts or the ones from Crazy Shirts in Hawaii.

I'll check on the quality of the tees and get back to you guys.

Before seeing it all as cheap, remember there's shipping involved to go around the world. Whats the best way? Pack it all up send to someone in the country to distribute around?

tabana: why'd u need 5 to 10 of the same shirt??? Bow unless you do you laundry only once a month... Sweat

There's also an issue of sizes, I'd get the shoulder width coz XS, S, M, L, XL sizes vary with country.

Don't worry, I do laundry every week. It's just that during winter I usually wear a black tee under itchy wool shirt. Black t-shirt tends to get gray fast. =T
I don't mind buying 5 or 10, if you think you'll get stuck with 70 tees at your home, but if it means you need to buy an extra 100 for me, I don't mind buying just 1 or 2 and get the rest locally. Mr Green

That's what I was thinking too. Massed produced t-shirt shouldn't cost more than a few cents in the 10 000+ range. Prints cost more.

You can check the price range for blank American Apparel, Hanes Beefy, Gildan Ultra Cotton and Hanes Heavyweight T-shirts. It goes from 15$ for 1 to $0.50 when you buy more 10 000. No one in those sweat shops have dental or retirement plans and they get screwed by the company for less than $1 a day. Sad
