Just finished the 2009 anime flim REDLINE. It's about an intergalactic race that takes place every 5 years. The drawing style is very unusual and the colors are really bold. It's really intriguing.

The race itself is bat sh*t crazy! One of the most frenetic high paced conclusions to an anime.

That is spot on, my man. Perfect analogy. It's that amped up several degrees by virtue of the fact that it's a bit easier to go nuts with animation as opposed to CGI.

www.tokyotosho.info.

If you do give it go you'll see why I made references to it being quite unlike other anime.

Haha. I will not lie, I did not even realize he was one of the main voice actors. Man, it's been that long since I've watched any dramas with him in it, I guess I didn't pick up on that fact.

Rusty dorama watcher. <---- me

That's ok, dear. Pat Pat Pat

I save myself for cartoons, too! Muack

Watching Kaikan Phrase again. Saw it was being streamed but their version is still not as good as mine which is at least 10 years old. Oh well.
Recommending Utakoi on Crunchyroll. Combines the 100 Romanantic poets and their love stories. Seen the first 12 eps. Loving it.

Also Polar Bears Cafe is a not to be missed small story based anime. Not much happens but not much needs too. Sort of like Seinfeld in that regard. hehe

Hehe. It's true though!

I'll add those shows to my queue. Just finished watching the most recent Lupin series, Lupin the Third: Mine Fujiko to Iu Onna, which was the first Lupin III show to focus on Mine Fujiko as the protagonist. Funny stuff. Very unusual animation style too.
