he's been in a few comedies so i think it's only natural you'd see him clowning around with a smile on his face. i think the pictures being thrown up here are from fashion magazines where they're trying to capture a certain look...it's like if you've ever thumbed through a fashion magazine, men's or women's, you don't really see editorials, fashion spreads, or runway pictures with the models smiling all that often.
