Takahashi Katsunori is versatile as an actor, whether being a tortured artist in Tainted Love Song or in one of his many comedic roles.

I believe he has at least 4 seasons of Saririman under his belt. WHich got repetitive of course but still.......

Currently Im watching him in Batsu Kare. Very enjoyable.

And his handsome, masculine good looks make those newbie pretty boys look like sissies.

I thought I recognised him from the photo you posted. I have Tainted Love Song (Kizudarake no Love Song) but I have only skimmed through it because the subs are so bad (Engrishy).

It was worth it and the young actress was very powerful in her role.

That drama is a particular favorite of mine and usually I veer away from the serious stuff.

This is my second favorite male actor next to KimuTaku.

I saw him the first time in Batsu Kare also when it broadcast here in LA.

His suavity in this comedy is reminiscent of Cary Grant just a little bit.

Then I've seen him in:
Akimahende
Semi Double
Matriarchial Family
Kizudarake No Love Song
Otoke No Kosodate (superb with Kuninaka Ryoko - what a combo)
And that older woman younger man love story.

He is truly a giant of the Japanese A list... incredible range of characters that he portrays to perfection. So he reigns on my top shelf along with KimuTaku and the larger than life Kuninaka Ryoko...

Glad to see this thread, Takahashi is one good actor. Plus he is a seasoned sexy male with maturity. Baby faces get very boring. Saw several of his dramas. Wonder why he does not get more space in publicity areas.
