For the people who watches Japanese Drama's and TV-Shows: I am writing my thesis about the globalization of the Japanese media and I would like to know a few things from you guys, it would be very helpful to me if you could answer this for me so I can get a view of how you guys think:
Basic information:
- Are you male or female?
- How old are you?
- Since when did you start watching Japanese drama's and/ or TV-Shows?
- Are you a (big) fan of Japanese drama's/ TV-shows or are you an occasional viewer?
Questions:
1) Which Japanese drama's and/or TV-shows do you like to watch (or became a fan of after watching it)?
2) What is, in your opinion, the difference between American drama's/TV-shows with the Japanese ones?
3) Aside from watching Japanese drama's/ TV-Shows, are you interested in the Japanese culture also? If so, do you like watching Japanese drama's/ TV-shows because you can spot the Japanese culture in it or are these totally different things to your opinion? If not, why do you like J-drama's/TV-shows?
4) How do you get your J-drama's/ TV-shows? (through Youtube, torrents, specific sites, cable-TV etc.)
5) What do you think of the Western spin-offs of Japanese shows? Like "Wipe Out" or "Hole in the Wall" etc. Did you know it was from Japanese origin before you have seen it? Would you prefer the original version or do you think spin-offs are better?
6) Would you be willing to pay a monthly fee for a subscription to a TV-channel which broadcasts Japanese drama's and TV-Shows?
