Takei Emi signs a contract with Gucci



Actress Takei Emi has signed a contract with Italian fashion brand Gucci, and attended the product launch event for their 2012 Spring-Summer Collection.

Takei is the very first Japanese celebrity to sign a contract with Gucci. Wearing a vivid orange dress, she expressed, “When I first heard about it, I was surprised. I’m very happy. This is a rare opportunity, so I’m honored.”

Gucci was attracted to Takei’s promising future and wealth of talent. They expect her to participate in events overseas as an international actress. Regarding her outfit, Takei commented, “The color is beautiful, I feel very good. It has a very feminine line, and it makes me feel like a mature woman.” She continued, “Gucci is a fashionable brand with tradition. I want to become an adult by understanding its value and wearing it stylishly.”

This new contract with Gucci marks Takei’s 12th deal with a company.

Takei Emi unfurls singing career with a huge poster

On December 14th, Takei Emi kicked off her singing debut with the release of her first single, “Koi Suru Kimochi”. To help promote the single, a huge poster has been put up at the exit of Omotesando Station B1.

This poster is 28.5 meters (~93.5 feet) in length and a device has been prepared to play “Koi Suru Kimochi” as well. The poster will be up until December 18th, so people in the area should definitely check it out.

In addition to that, Takei will be at a talk event on December 17th at Koshigaya Aeon Laketown mori in Saitama. The event is free of charge, so anyone can pop in to visit.

Takei Emi holds her first ever high-five event



Actress Takei Emi held her first ever high-five event on December 17th at the Saitama Koshigaya Aeon Lake Town.

Aside from appearing in fifteen different commercials, Takei has been successfully carrying out a career as a model and, an actress in movies and dramas. The event was held in celebration of the release of her first single, “Koi Suru Kimochi“, which marked Takei’s official debut as a singer.

When Takei Emi finally appeared, fans and shoppers alike began to clap and cheer. Approximately 2,000 of Takei Emi’s fans were in attendance, and had the opportunity to hear the “real story” behind her singing debut. Following the talk session, those who had purchased her CD participated in her first high-five event. Some fans were so happy to receive such a special early Christmas present that they burst into tears.

“I’ve finally been able to deliver my song to all of you,” said Takei to the crowd about her wish come true. “It’s a truly incredible song written for me by GLAY’s TAKURO-san, who I like very much.”

Last week, Takei Emi made her first appearance on the live broadcast music show “Music Station” to promote her new song, where she shyly admitted, “I’m shaking like a baby deer, I’m so nervous.” In a more confident voice, the newly-debuted singer announced her future plans as a singer to the audience at her high-five event. “I’d like to go on doing musical activities so that 2012, I can sing a lot of songs,” she revealed.

The young actress and singer will be celebrating her eighteenth birthday on Christmas Day, December 25. To make this a special time for both herself and her fans, Takei will be holding another event for fans who purchased her debut CD.

Takei Emi to star with a double role in the drama adaptation of ‘W no Higeki’

TV Asahi has just announced that they are going to adapt the mystery masterpiece ‘W no Higeki‘ into a prime time drama series next season, starring the young and busy actress Takei Emi.

‘W no Higeki‘ is based on a mystery novel of the same name by Natsuki Shizuko, which sold over 2.5 million copies. It was already adapted into a movie starring Yakushimaru Hiroko in 1984 and a drama special starring Kanno Miho in 2010. For its first adaptation into a drama series, scriptwriter Terada Toshio (“Koshonin”) is going to make a few changes to fit it into the present-day society and to create an all-new exciting viewing experience.

For Takei this will be her first starring role in a prime time drama and moreover it’s going to be a double role. She commented, “I’m looking at the double role as a great chance to gather more experience and to test my own acting abilities. It’s just great to be able to play two different roles at the same time.”

Takei is going to play the roles of ‘Mako Watsuji‘, the daughter of a very wealthy and powerful zaibatsu, and of ‘Kurasawa Satsuki‘, a girl raised in an orphanage with a desire of revenge burning inside her heart. Due to the fact that they both look absolutely identical, they decide to change places in order to experience each other’s completely different lives. Their little experiment is followed by various tragedies and other incidents.

She commented, “The daughter of a major zaibatsu and a show club dancer. I haven’t played anything similar to both roles so far. The producer told me that he wants to me show my evil side as best as I can, so I think that I’ll have a lot of fun showing everyone a new side of me. Personally I’d love to discover an unknown side of me as well! (laughs) I hope you will look forward to the drama and my performance. I’ll do my best!”

‘W no Higeki’ will air every Thursday at 9:00 pm.

Full cast revealed for upcoming drama ‘W no Higeki’ starring Takei Emi


On March 8th, TV Asahi finally revealed more details about the cast of the upcoming drama ‘Wo no Higeki‘, which stars young actress Takei Emi in a double role.

Takei plays the two roles of ‘Watsuji Mako‘, the daughter of a very wealthy and powerful zaibatsu, and ‘Kurasawa Satsuki‘, a show club dancer raised in an orphanage and with a desire of revenge burning inside her heart. Due to the fact that they both look absolutely identical, they decide to change places in order to experience each other’s completely different lives. Their little experiment is followed by various tragedies and other incidents.

For Takei this will be her first starring role, let alone double, in a prime time drama, but she’s not doing it alone. Fukuda Saki and Gouriki Ayame, who are both from the same agency as Takei, will appear alongside her. With further appearances by Kiritani Kenta, Matsushita Yuki, Wakamura Mayumi, Terada Minori, Nogiwa Yoko, Nakamura Shunsuke, Takahashi Issei, Takeda Kohei, and Kaneda Akio, she truly can rely on a wonderful cast.

Fukuda and Gouriki are going to play fellow dancers at the show club where Mako will have to work at instead of Satsuki. They both aren’t exactly nice towards her and bully her on every occasion. Gouriki’s character comes off as a kind girl at first glimpse, but she actually has a very malicious personality. Matsushita plays the owner of the club.

The producer commented, “We were able to surround our young and fresh heroine, played by Takei, with people who possess very strong and individual personalities.”

He continued, “The selling point of a show club are the great dancing skills of its dancers and I think the scenes that were filmed inside an actual club are going to be fantastic. With the intense battle that’s going on between the girls, there are going to be some truly flashy scenes!”

‘W no Higeki’ will air every Thursday at 9:00 pm.
