Yonekura Ryoko to star in TV Tokyo's Matsumoto Seicho drama SP "Tsuyoki Ari"
Yonekura Ryoko will be starring in her 5th Matsumoto Seicho drama adaptation when she takes on the leading role in TV Tokyo's new drama SP "Tsuyoki Ari" (Strong Ant) which will be shown this summer. She will play the role of a woman who married a company director 31 years older than her and is living a life of luxury. However, she detests the fact that the family finances are handled by the housekeeper and tries to murder her husband in order to get his JPY 1 billion fortune. In the process, she ends up being involved with other men by using her charm.
Yonekura commented that this character is very interesting considering how she would stop at nothing to achieve her aims so in a way, viewers might find themselves rooting for the heroine despite her evil ways. As her previous appearances in Matsumoto Seicho drama adaptations had helped her to reach new heights in her career, Yonekura revealed that through acting in these adaptations, they have helped her to discover new joys in acting and she would always visit Matsumoto's grave each time she took on a project related to him.

Yonekura Ryoko to star in FujiTV drama SP "Autobahn ~ Soushiki Hanzai Taisakuka Yagami Eiko ~"
Yonekura Ryoko will be taking on the role of a police detective with ties to the underworld in the upcoming FujiTV drama SP "Autobahn ~ Soushiki Hanzai Taisakuka Yagami Eiko ~" which is due to be shown this summer. The drama SP is based on the same-titled mystery novel by Fukamachi Akio and features Yonekura in the role of Yagami Eiko, a police detective working in the Ueno Chuo Police Station's Anti-Organised Crime Division who is rumoured to be linked to the underworld and extends loans without interests to her colleagues. In addition, she is labelled as an "outsider" within the police station and would do anything to solve her cases.
Filming will begin in May and co-stars include Nishida Toshiyuki and Watabe Atsuro.
