Riisa Naka gives birth to her first child

Actor Nakao Akiyoshi's (25) wife, actress Naka Riisa (23), gave birth to their first child on October 4th at 1:08 am at a hospital in Tokyo.

According to sources, Naka gave birth to a healthy baby boy weighing 2,560 grams (5 lbs 13 oz). Nakao, who was present at the time of birth, reported through his blog, "I've received the best treasure."

"My eyes watered naturally," he expressed. "Mothers are really amazing. First of all, I am filled with gratitude for the both of them, to her [Naka] for giving birth and to the baby for being born."


The couple started dating in October of last year and got married on April 18th of this year.

Odagiri Joe and Yuu Kashii expecting again

Actor Odagiri Joe and his wife, actress Kashii Yuu, are expecting their second child.

According to several people concerned, Kashii is in her fifth month and will give birth next spring.

The same source also stated that Kashii has not been feeling well since the middle of October. Therefore, she unavoidably decided to leave the ongoing TBS drama "Kurokouchi", which she appeared as a crime laboratory worker. The drama already aired up to episode 3, but the appearance of the role or having a stand-in for the future episodes has not been decided.

Kashii and Odagiri met each other through 2005 movie "Pavilion Sanshouo" and tied the knot on February 16 --both their birthdays-- in 2008. The couple had their first son in 2011.

Actor Odagiri Joe's wife, actress Kashii Yuu, gave birth to their second child, a baby boy.

Kashii's agency announced that she hopes to return to work as soon as possible while adjusting her physical condition and child-rearing situation. The couple do not plan on revealing the birth date, time, location, and name of their new son.

Odagiri and Kashii got married on their birthday, February 16 of 2008. They welcomed their first son in February of 2011.

Shun Oguri and Yamada Yu expecting first child

Yamada Yu, the wife of actor Oguri Shun, is pregnant with their first child.

According to the announcement made by Yamada's agency, she is in the sixth month of pregnancy, and is expecting a baby in September.

The couple married in March of 2012, and at the press conference for their marriage, Yamada mentioned that she would like to have at least three children.

As she will appear in TBS' show "Pittanko Kan��Kan" (to be aired on the 30th), it is expected that she will announce her pregnancy on the show.

On a side note, Yamada will release her fashion book "FASHION ADDICT" (tentative title) on her 30th birthday on July 5.

Ryuta Sato announces the birth of his second daughter

Sato Ryuta announced the birth of his second daughter when he appeared in the live broadcast of NHK's programme "Studio Park kara Konnichiwa" on 1 August. After the hosts introduced his profile and mentioned that he got married in 2009 and has a four-year-old daughter, Sato then revealed that his second daughter was born last month. In response to his announcement, Sato was greeted with cheers of congratulations and he thanked everyone for their well-wishes. Sato also jokingly commented that as he's the only guy in his family now, he's worried that he might lose his place at home against the ladies.

Oguri Shun and Yamada Yu welcomed the arrival of their first daughter recently, according to a statement issued on 1 October. Both mother and child are doing fine but the statement did not mention the date of birth nor the gender of the child. It was only till the following day when Yamada's younger brother Shintaro updated his Twitter with a congratulatory message for his sister and unwittingly revealed that the baby is a girl and she was born at the end of September.

In Oguri and Yamada's statement, they said that they are very touched by the arrival of their child and hope to grow along with her as parents while treasuring the happiness they are experiencing now. The couple got married in March 2012 and Yamada announced her pregnancy in May this year.

Eriko Sato announces marriage and pregnancy

Sato Eriko announced through her blog on 31 Jan that she has tied the knot with her Brazillian boyfriend and is currently pregnant with their first child. Sato's husband is 12 years older than her and they were first reported to be dating in a February 2014 issue of "FRIDAY". The marriage application is expected to be filed soon and there are no plans for a wedding yet. Sato is due to give birth this summer.

According to Nikkansports, Sato's husband used to work for Ichikawa Ebizo who had also dated her between October 2006 and February 2007. At that time when the dating report was published last year, Ichikawa wrote on his blog about his ex-staff dating his ex-girlfriend with a photo of Sato's husband during a meeting they had.

In Sato's blog entry, she did not give any details of her husband but mentioned that she had been engaged to him for one and a half years. As for the timing of her announcement, it was said to be due to her inability to keep her excitement about being pregnant to herself and she wanted to share the happy news with everyone. As for her work, Sato said that her health will come first and her schedule will depend on her condition.

Mari Hoshino announces her pregnancy

On February 12, actress Hoshino Mari announced that she and husband, announcer Takano Takahiro are expecting their first child.

Hoshino and Takano married back in September of 2011. Through her blog, the actress reported, "At this time, we have been blessed with a new life. I'm currently five months pregnant and expecting to give birth this summer."

Hoshino revealed that she's in healthy condition, "Our child is very considerate of me. I didn't have any morning sickness. I've been spending everyday without much change," and expressed her joy, "I was anxious about whether or not the baby was really in my stomach, but hearing my doctor say that everything is well and seeing my stomach get bigger little by little, I felt a sense of relief, as well as joy beyond my imagination." She also sent a message out to her fans, "I will continue doing my best to grow, so it would make me happy if you would watch over me."

Masato Sakai and Miho Kanno expecting first child in the Fall

Sakai Masato and Kanno Miho will be welcoming the arrival of their first child in autumn this year as announced by her agency on 5 May which also happens to be Children's Day in Japan. In Kanno's statement, she revealed that the couple are very happy about the new addition to their family and are making preparations for the baby as they approach the due date in autumn. Although there are no details on her pregnancy and due date, Kanno is said to be at least 5 months' pregnant by now. Her work activities from now on will depend on her condition. On the other hand, Sakai also released his statement expressing his joy and commented that he sees the baby as a gift from God entrusted to him and his wife. He also pledged to work harder in order to deliver better performances in future.

Sakai and Kanno met on the set of the movie "Ooku ~ Eien~" when filming began in January 2012 and only started dating at the end of the same year after the film was released in cinemas. The couple were first romantically linked in a Sankei Sports article on 22 March 2013 and later submitted their marriage application on 2 April. Since their marriage, Kanno has been restricting her work activities to CMs, events and magazine appearances while Sakai starred in the hit drama "Hanazawa Naoki" in summer 2013, is now seen in the NTV drama "Dr. Rintaro" and will be the lead for next year's NHK Taiga "Sanadamaru".

Mahiru Konno pregnant with 2nd child

On May 27, actress Konno Mahiru announced through her agency's official website that she is currently 6 months pregnant with her 2nd child.

In the announcement, Konno reflected, "It's been 12 years since I started acting. 20 years including my Takarazuka days. As a woman, many things have happened, such as marriage and the birth of my first child." She continued, "As a mother and actress, I intend on facing various things from now on with brand new feelings."

Konno married a pilot, who was her classmate from junior high school, in November of 2008. She gave birth to their first child, a daughter, in August of 2012.

Miu Sakamoto gives birth to her first child

Sakamoto Miu has given birth to her first child.

Sakamoto announced the birth of her baby girl through her official Facebook page. "To everyone who watched over me and supported me during my pregnancy, thank you very much! Her first cry was very was close to a 'nya', a 'mya'. She is almost a qualified cat! From now on, I would like to make every day full of love," she commented.

Sakamoto married a book director and editor on March 1, 2014. She announced that she was 5-months pregnant this March.
