Going to start Arisu no Toge now that it's complete and subbed. Victory! Peace!

Started episode 1 of MOZU. Rather intense, but interesting. Didn't realise the first episode was two hours long, though, so it was a bit tiring, but it's lovely seeing Nishijima Hidetoshi and Kagawa Teruyuki sharing the same screen space again. Maki Yoko leaves me cold.

The fanboys have spoken.

OT: Finished "Zoku Saigo Kara". It was every bit as good as the first one. I probably liked the sequel a little bit more. Very well done. Applaud

Completely agree. I have a feeling of "afterglow" from that heart-warming series.

While cleaning/organizing one of my external hard drives, I found Osozaki no Himawari. I remember just watching the first episode, and being too busy to continue. So I found the other episodes and have a bit of time to watch it.

Yeah, the opening is pretty cool all by itself.

Finished "Hanasaki Mai". I still have no idea why this thing got the ratings it did. Every episode you could figure out who the culprit was by the halfway point, sometimes sooner. Just average but with those ratings I'm sure there will be a sequel. Head Scratch

Wakamonotachi episode 1. Most anticipated drama for me in the last few years, so I have high expectations. I like it but the writing is nothing special, so far. Episode 1 mainly introduces characters and their circumstances, perhaps it's too early to judge. Wish it was more about siblings relationship rather than each of their own romantic relationships, that will come later I suppose. The oldest brother reminded me of the one in Summer Snow initially, except this one is a lot more immature and still has a lot to learn, which is more realistic actually, but he is less likeable as a result.

I finished Osozaki no Himawari. A co-worker saw the opening theme and said, "Oh, it's like 'Friends!'" I managed to enjoy the drama anyway. Victory! Peace!

Now I want to move to rural Japan and find my own Maki Yoko. Naughty

Watched the first episode of 'Oyaji no Senaka': http://jdorama.com/drama.2006.htm

The first episode featured Masakazu Tamura who I've never been a big fan of and Takako Matsu. I think the last time Matsu was in a drama Yu Darvish was still in high school. It's been awhile.

The first episode was a nice, somewhat bittersweet story. There was a point where I actually felt sorry for Tamura. He and Matsu both did well in their roles. Hopefully the rest of the series will be as good as the opening episode was. Fingers crossed

She was in two of Kimtaku's big dramas from the '90s, "Long Vacation" and "Love Generation". She was also in the Kimtaku drama "HERO" which I didn't really like all that much. For me personally I think her best drama was "Omiai Kekkon".

Thumbsup Thank you for the reminder on Takako Matsu. Almost forgot to give a curiosity look at Taku's Hero season 2.

They could have passed this off as episode 12 except that some characters have either died a screen death or off-screen; fleece jacket is missing because it's summer; Matsu is missing and I miss her because the current paralegal is such a bleh

How could they, the characters, look the same after a lapse of one decade if it hadn't been for botox, hair implants and heavy make-up?

I remember her from Long Vacation. Such a cutie. But I was confused because I didn't see her listed in the cast for Oyagi no Senaka.
