| hey any 1 live in the west coast/ LA area? Sundys at 9 on channel 18 we get "stairway to heaven" subbed and everything its gonna be starting soon, has any 1 here been watching it? its pretty bad ass |

| oh and right after that and 10 on channel 44 we get "life with dad" that's ok to watch.. lots'o hot chicks, especialy Fukada Kyoko she's sooooo beautiful... and she's as old as me ....(hmmmmmm maybe if go to japan i might get with.............nah!) |

| U know u makes me feel a little envious to not be living in the LA area or Hawaii for that matter. If only we have some of those channel here in the Central Valley Areas that will be so great. We do have plenty of multi ethnic community here as well. |

yes i live in la.. n ive been watching channel 18 n 44 for a while now, infact ive been recording 'life with dad' ever since it started, but im sorry i found 'stairway to heaven' really boring. yes there are some interesting scenes though but they're too many slow scenes. the only thing i like about that was the ending theme by hiro called eternal place.. but i do watch that every sunday 
n about girls walking in their bikinis.. well that doesnt happen everyday, unless you're @ a certain place.. that i know..  dont get ur hopes up though, hollywood isnt all that, compared to hawaii heheh |

Akiko was free, after Kashiwagi bought her back from Enari, Akiko was free to live her own life, the story said she will live in Efue to start over, Kashiwagi won't marry her, according to his agreement with Enari and his own personal decision.
The ending was pretty good, The scene of his son's wedding, his daughter finally accepting the fact, then going along with them, finally having a peaceful life and family. I think he gave whatever left of his company to his son, being true to his word that he would take care of his friend's supposed son(which is actually his own son). It was a happy ending in my own opinion.
BUT, there was also a shot where he was walking down along the beach
remembering all these things, I think he was true to his word(If you remember when he was talking to his son, he said he would die, but he's son begged him not to), I think he was already dead at that moment, he was laughing and playing in the water alone, finally having happiness and reaching the end of the Stairway To Heaven.
Note: The young Kashiwagi, I think is now the actor of 'Musashi'? Am I Right? |

i really liked the ending, i kinda didnt get the beach part, after i read what u said (think he's already dead at that time) made me sad.. but how did he die? i regret for not continuing to record them  im so stupid heheh but yeh very touching
about musashi, i have no idea that was him.. i have to watch and look at him properly |

but i didn't get the endiign either....but beign dead sound soooo sad!!!
and he kinda does look like the musashi guy |

i'd still like to think that he's not dead!!!! he musn't be dead...HE SHOULD'VE MARRIED HIS TRUE LOVE!!!! 
oh and it turned out his daughter 'loved' him...how weird is that!?  |

Nah, IMO he didn't die. He had resolved too much to commit suicude now, especially after Motohashi in a way finally forgave him in that one scene.
I think he just went back to Efue and remembered it all. |
yeah that's what i'd like to think happened....... ho here would go back to their true ove after all that's happend? i dunno if i was kashiwagi i don't know if i could go and get back with a woman who left me 30 years ago |
