So ka.

I just looked up algae eaters in Wiki... There's a shrimp that eats algae... And it's Japanese: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caridina_japonica Mr Green

I thought they were saltwater creatures, though. Head Scratch My cousin had two shrimp (not sure what kind) in his tank and they lived for about two years. Which is good, I think?

According to that Wiki article, they're freshwater. Victory! Peace!

If you guys have any name recommendations for the No Name fish, please tell me!
Looks like a "Miho" to me. No reason, just does. Unless it's a guy, then we'll have to come up with something else.

How can one tell what the sex of a fish is? Confused

And I thought you were Wyn's pet. Why didn't she post a pic of you? Mr Green

Ooh, and my pet is my avatar...I wish! <3

Hi everyone,I have a problem with my dog and I was wondering if anyone encountered the same problem.Mine is a 5 month old female Siberian Husky who eats her poop with a passion. Sweat Sweat I want to stop this bad behaviour but I don't know how.Does anyone have any methods that they've tried and work?

^ Yikes. Sweat

I suppose you could sprinkle cayenne pepper on it: one sniff should discourage the dog...

Miho it is, then! Smitten

I hope Miho survives. I had another silver molly who died in a few days due to shock, and now Miho is showing the same symptoms. Sweat

My colleague, who breeds toy spaniels, said that she uses a spray bottle. Her dogs HATE getting wet, so when they misbehave, she sprits them.

You should have a birth tank for her. Otherwise the babies will end up as fish food Smile You can buy little floating ones that sit in the main tank.

BTW, I thought "Sakana" was a good name for a fish Wink

Honto?! I'll ask the fish store tomorrow. I'll be going to get a breeding trap for Preggers.

I think I have a plan. If she doesn't give birth by morning, I'll set up my small tank for the fry, and in the meantime place Preggers in a Breeding Trap. When the fry are born, I'll move them to the small tank.

The thing is, when I researched online, most people recommend letting the fish eat the fry once they're born so I don't have a load of fish everywhere. Sweat

I read this at Jun's forum and really liked the name, since it means "fish" in Japanese. Beaten I'll give it to the other female swordtail. Sakana.

Now I need a name for the male swordtail!
