haha i remember i always hear his name on the tv when iw as primary2???? 1998?? haha long vacation was really hot at that time.. i think the local tv always replay it many times back then..

These are informations from THE PAST, not really important anymore now. But, I thought I'll share this information to those who has just become a SMAP fan, recently... Coz I'm also one of those who is late in becoming a Smappy^^
I became a Smappy in October 2002. While, the 3 Biggest Incidents in SMAP history happened in 1996, 2000 and 2001. So, I missed all the uproars during those years. And, hopefully...I will never experience any similar incidents now, as a SMAP fan^^ It'd probably too much to take for me... x)
In 1996, Mori Katsuyuki left SMAP. SMAP was rumoured disbanding because of this. A SMAP fan who has been one since 1994-1995 told me, how she felt that the world has come to an end when she heard the news in the radio. She is a Nakai-ichiban and Mori-niban, that time. So you can imagine how shocked she was to hear the news. For 1 week, she didn't feel like eating anything, due to the shock. Coz all these time, she believed that SMAP will always be a 6-member group. What's going to happen now that they're down to 5?
Furthermore...it happened so sudden. Even Nakai heard about this the first time from his manager. He was shocked that Mori didn't say a thing to him nor to the other members. He immediately called Mori's house, but Mori was not there, and it was his father who answered the phone. Nakai asked this to his father and he said, it's true.
When he finally get to meet Mori, Nakai asked him, "Don't you have us?? Why didn't you discuss it first with us? Why did you decide it all by yourself?". He must be very sad to hear this.
Being an autocar racer, has always been Mori's dream since childhood. He coincidentally saw a racer qualification test announcement and the age limit is 22 years old. That year, he will soon be 22, so he thought he should take the test and not missing the opportunity. And, he actually passed the test.
Many asked, why did he has to leave SMAP? Why can't he become a racer AND stay in SMAP?
This is purely fans speculations/rumours: he took the test without informing/asking permission to the Johnny's agency. This has caused Johnny felt offended/angry, thus he fired Mori and want him to leave the group. So, Mori probably intended to two-time the jobs...but...
However, there's another version said, that Mori did decide this by himself. And still, Johnny felt offended and forbid the other members to attend his press conference. But, Nakai didn't listen and he came afterall, to the conference, representating all SMAP members, to show him that though they're very sad, but they support Mori's decision. Nakai even said, he respect Mori's decision...since he always wanted to become a baseball player, but he can never really achieve this childhood dream of his^^
A year later, Mori actually got the 1st place in a racing competition^^ He got married in 1998 and he has a son. I'm not sure, how many kids he has now, though. Well...I guess, the bright side is...he got a peaceful life with his family as an ordinary man^^
Although, Mori has left SMAP, he still contact them sometimes. He called Kimura to congratulate him on his baby birth.
Also, in 2001, SMAP was also rumoured disbanding due to Goro's traffic violation. From 6 down to 5 and now to 4??? At this time around, Mori actually called Shingo, coz he was worried with the situation. He said, "Will the 4 of you be alright in Nagoya concert?? Do you want me to help? But I only remember the dance steps of Aoi Inazuma,". I think that's really sweet of him, to worry about SMAP, though he has been apart from them for 5 years.
Well, they've been together since 1988. Being together for 8 years with SMAP, must give him some kind of bond with the other members.

Takuya and Nakai used to be transfer students in the same high school, as many of you knew that... During the entrance, Nakai couldn't do the exam because he can't read kanji, so he whispered to Takuya and ask him to move aside.. So Takuya really move aside and let him copy his answers in exam. Nakai really appreciated that because without Takuya's help, he wouldn't had passed the exam!
And Takuya and Nakai also spent Christmas together when they're 17 or 18... They had cake at Nakai's place, then went to Aoyama... I think they said it was 'girl hunting'...
Goro and Tsuyoshi were also from the same high school, that famous artist school, Horikoshi High School. Many famous Johnny's were from this school, like KinKi Kids, Yayayah, Yamapi, Koki, Toma, etc...Even Matsu Takako!! Goro once said in tv show that Tsuyoshi really strong in fighting.. When they met some bullies, Tsuyoshi protected Goro!!! How sweet~
wad exam was that? but takuya as always is willing to help his friend. even if it means copying his work.
it's hard to imagine a skinny boy like tsuyoshi protecting goro.. i wonder if they ever saw matsu in school? or had they alr graduated that time when she was there?? _________________
Yesterday i got my POP UP DVD and couldnt resist on watching it, even if its just a bit.
I started off this time with Disc 3 as I was so eager to find out more about the "meeting smap" and "are you lucky" part.
I did a super fast viewing (it was really late that time) of the parts.....and here's what i found out:

This is the part where you make use of your 3D glasses. Pop it up on your eyes and then SMAP is just a finger away...hehehe..
Okay i wont reveal much here except for the fact, at one point when i was watching it, I thought Goro was just in front of me....hahahahahha...
Also i DIED when Takuya blow a kiss to the screen...and with my 3D glass on, he was BLOWING A KISS TO ME!!!
The last part showed 2 african aborogines and it was snowing or the sakura was falling and i swear to you i actually held my hand out as if i can touch it......
and each time the members come out...i would reach our of their fac and stroke it...

Unfortunately, what i was hoping for did not turn out as it supposed to be. I thought maybe this is a chance where they give a special number to smap's fan to get some special prize or something like it. Well, at least this section also very interesting and it has got to do with number.
This is the part where you play a guessing game with SMAP. Each member will take a card (ace to king), and show the backside of it to you and you are supposed to guess it. You can choose 1-9 and then press enter (i think that what its supposed to mean from the guide) and then they will reveal their number to you.
Have a guess on which member i guess correctly...it was GORO!! on Goro's birthday too....hehe..is this a coincidence or wat?
I was pretty sad i didnt get "link" with Takuya...*sobz* and couldnt guess his number correctly.
Smap Diary:
I didnt really watch this section so got not much to comment on it at the moment. But basically it shows how the concert from day 1 was set up until the day of concert.
Smap 15th Anniversary
This is the part where most fans have watch a little bit of it from tv news. Its where the members were on stage, drinking champagne and yakking about their anniversary. Again i have not watch much of it.....BUT i was so happy when they played cant! Stop! on their background and some of the members were singing to it...hehehe....
Well thats it from me at the moment....maybe some other fans here can add into my review.
Im so gonna frame that poster up....

Inagaki Goro Birthday POST!: A day early, but better now than never!
Goro is a well known member of SMAP for all the wrong reason's. His older sister signed him up to talent agency in hopes of meeting the bigger stars of the late 80's. Loyal and eager to please his sister; he went head first into the Jimusho's training and found himself not up to par with the dancing and singing skills of his peers. Upon first impression Johnny Kitagawa founder of the agency singled him as "bitter-sweet" and "stylish". It should be wise to point out that Goro is the only SMAP member and probably one of the few talents that make up the agency to refer to Kitagawa by Hiromu-san.Goro became a name in Japan's public households before SMAP became really famous, thanks to a seedy tell-all book by a former Four Leaves member who allege that Kitagawa was intimate with Goro.
Goro was most close with SMAP member Mori Katsuyuki who left the band in 1996. It was here that Goro starts to put up a front of being brash, harsh and almost snobbish. Seeing his other band mates having their own 'partner' to fall back on. Goro retreated to himself and often followed his own interests and hobbies, causing him to further isolate himself from the group. In interviews Shingo Katori would vent his frustations on his relationship with Goro, saying it was painful spending at time with him outside SMAP-related activites. Their relationship was clearly strained and it wasn't until a trip to US to tape a SmaSma episode that the two finally bonded.
In 1997,Goro met Miho Kanno, a young a former idol singer in the group Sakurakko Club Sakura Group and model. Goro met Miho during a live music program, where it was SMAP leader Nakai Masahiro intitially impressed with the young female. It wasn't until sometime during 1999, that the pair teamed up for the Saimin flim that they started dating. The relationship was rock soild, up until her release of her nude photobook. Goro cheated on Miho with a string of women, mostly women he would pick up from bars. The media looked down on Goro fo shamelessly faulting his other women in public. Goro would later issue a public apology to Miho stating he would give up drinking.
It seems Goro's bad luck never ceases because in 2001, Goro turned a simple parking ticket into a hit and run. It was a media circus with Goro's name back in the public for all the wrong reasons. The Jimusho was firm and issued a sixth month suspension from any and all media and getting dropped from the latest SMAP tour. It was a LONG six months.
Since 2004, Goro's relationship with his fellow SMAP members is stronger than ever, with a new passion for SMAP, Goro is eager to perform and a zest for touring. His solo songs have turned from slow sappy tunes, to morbid almost dreadful songs; Goro has recently started to embrace a positive heart-rending sound that I enjoy! Goro is close with SMAP member Kimura Takuya and is the only member to actually speak of Kimura's marrige to singer Shizuka Kudo (Of couse the things he says is in his typical brash way, but I think he means well.) His relationship with Miho Kanno still contiunes with him buying her a bicycle, out of all things on her 26th birthday! So she can ride up to his manison and see him whenever she has time. No lie! Those words were from Miho herself! He's recently found success in the drama world as the lead of "Busu no Hitomi ni Koishiteru".
Inagaki Goro isn't the most perfect, but I think that is why I like him best. It's hard to find a big talent that not only admits his faults but also embracing them. When I was 11 year's old; I saw someone had a left a magazine open on there was a two page spread of Goro. I was so overwhelmed and stunnded by his looks, that the first Asian person I saw, I demanded they translate what was written about him. The person was Chinese but knew some basic Japanese and mumbled something about his love of cats and this SMAP thing. I went to investigate this SMAP thing and I never looked back. Goro has an instability about him that reminds me that he is only human. I have follow his career from the high's and the low's and all that bad and good stuff inbetween. I look foward to another 13 year's. I want nothing but the best for you! Happy Birthday and thanks for the laughs, the tears and everything inbetween.

Not Goro related but it's cute to see a 5th grader Shingo speak to the SMAP members, and even at a young age he has his doubts in Goro. Poor Goro. It's english subtitled, so it's rather charming to hear Shingo speak to his bandmates.
