You said the things I have said for years. I have given up paying attention to the
People who badmouth SMAP or any other performer. They don't know that they don't know.
I have followed SMAP for almost twenty years and they have indeed grown into most professional entertainers and they know just who and what they are. They do anything that is required and sometimes the gigs are downright scary.

they can make me laugh and enjoy the songs and they obviously enjoy most of what they do. In some cases they remind me of the old Dean Martin show. His great singing was secondary to his comedy at times.
Their 'not so great singing' does not hold them back from doing their best to entertain people
