Continued watching Cinderella and the four knights, and Love in the Moonlight.

Cinderella is ok, the direction/execution is a bit off at times but not bad. Park So-dam's smiles alone was enough for me to keep watching.

Nothing particularly special about Love in the Moonlight but everything was done well. It's very enjoyable, I could feel the chemistry and tension between the two leads. Park Bo-gum is very handsome and Kim Yoo-jung lights up the screen. The politics is not really interesting though, I wish there is more romantic comedy.

Currently watching Jealousy Incarnate and really liking Jo Jung-seok's range. Still 10 episodes to go, so hope the story holds up.

Also watching Moonlight Drawn by Clouds. Kim Yoo-jung is adorable.

I have just found out that you can watch KBS on Youtube. Some shows even have English subtitles.

Didn't find any really good shows but they have some clips from Love in the Moonlight and behind the scenes interviews, English subtitled!

Watching My Mister now. Different to how I imagined but really good. If I didn't have to sleep, I probably would have watched all 16 episodes non stop. lol

TVN makes such good dramas.

Just finished My Mister. It was great... I miss it already.

Been watching it for the past few days. Every day, I would relive moments between the two leads in my mind while I am out. I want to rewatch it again and relive all the memorable moments again now.

Just finished the second episode and I'm totally hooked on this drama. Thank you for recommending it.

Glad you liked it. How did you find the rest? I watched a few other kdramas and thought about My Mister while watching them from time to time. It's the best in the last few years for me.

Absolutely loved it to the end. Every episode has a little gem of a scene between Dong-Hoon and Ji-An that brought tears to my eyes. The epilogue too is so well done - we follow Ji-An through her new life but don't see her face until the last few shots. Very creative filmmaking.

Big Grin Yeah l loved it too. I kept wanting to rewatch it but too many times will probably ruin it for me.

Their scenes together are so engrossing, even when they were just talking or doing nothing special in particular. I love their relationship, connection, understanding and trust with each other. How everyone in the small neighbourhood community/football club conversed and supported one another was great too.

I'm watching it for the fourth time and still enjoy it. But I fast-forward through all the brothers scenes.

It's been half a year but I still feel so strongly about My Mister. I like it even more on rewatch, to the point that it may have become my favourite korean drama.

Tried a lot others recently but nothing really came close. But I really enjoyed You Drive Me Crazy and Because This is My First Life. Some episodes of Catch the Ghost and Prosecutor Civil War are good too.

Watched Innocent Defendent...bleh...it's so convoluted it lost all credibility...and nothing turns me off more than snickering villains...and this one makes scratching on a blackboard sound like music.

Finally decided to give My Mister a try and I completely lost myself into it...such a gem of a drama...every episode pulled me deeper into the lives of Ji An and Dong Hoon...one memorable scene after another.
Just to name a few...
When Dong Hoon walks Ji An home and as they part she turns and says "fighting!"
When Dong Hoon tells her "You're a good person" and "Ji An is a great name"
When Dong Hoon and his friends walk Ji An home and as they leave she says "Thank you"
The haunting bass voice singing A Million Roses as everyone reflects on their lives.
And the way they filmed the back of the actors' head...when Ji An blots her bleeding lip...when Dong Hoon sees his wife using the public phone...and the end scenes when we follow Ji An in her new life.
Other things I love...the shallow depth of focus that makes everything blurred behind the actors face...and the different scenes that intertwine and alternate and move along at the same time...such a nicely crafted piece of filmmaking...

Thank you guys for raving about this drama...without you it would have flown under my radar screen.

Glad you like it too. Big Grin

So many famous/memorable scenes. It feels like every time Dong Hoon and Ji An are together, it's always memorable even though they are just talking or walking home. I am still in awe of how they managed to make the ordinary so special.

I love all the scenes you mentioned too but my favourites are probably when Ji An smiled for the first time while drinking with Dong Hoon, and in the last episode when Ji An said Fighting.

There is a scene I want to ask someone about but no one I know irl has watched the drama. After Ji An told Dong Hoon about one of his staff bad mouthing him, they had a conversation at the bar. Dong Hoon told Ji An that the appropriate thing to do is to keep it to herself and don't tell the person who got bad mouthed, and that he would pretend he didn't hear anything about her in future and asked her to do the same. Some comments I read relating to that scene said they wished/needed someone to say this to them irl (the second part). Is that the norm for mature adults? Because I don't fully understand how most normal people feel about this. And I didn't understand Ji An's reaction on hearing this either. If you can explain, that would be much appreciated.

The way I read that scene is Dong Hoon doesn't like conflicts so when he tells Ji An it's better to pretend not to know he's really thinking about his wife's affair...he's a lovable character but rather spineless and you really see it later when he meets with his team for his first director interview training, he doesn't look motivated "My mother wants me to become director" and when his wife tells him he should quit his job and start his own company he finds all kinds of excuses and when she insists he takes his coat and leaves without saying anything...it takes him to get really pissed off to take a stand...and Ji An's reaction...she's thinking about the loan shark she killed and having to hide this for the rest of her life and live with the fear of being found out so she figures if the whole world knew about it she could put it behind her...just IMO...

BTW they shot the whole scene with slow shutter speed so everything that moves gets blurred...I thought that was a real neat idea

I see, thanks. I thought there may be more to the scene. At the end when Dong Hoon told Ji An he will pretend he doesn't know anything he hears about her, I thought it implies that he will treat her the same way no matter what he knows about her, that he completely accepts/trusts her as a person just as she is now. Or maybe just my wishful thinking. lol

Yeah the production quality and direction were top notch. Direction, filming, writing, acting and music all blended perfectly to create this drama.

Yes definitely accepts her just as she is...that's what makes this drama so endearing...two unlikely people who meet and change each other's lives...

Another thing I like about My Mister....it's not about a heiress or spoiled chaebol families.

Watched Crashlanding on You and it's about...a heiress and spoiled chaebol families...I liked the plot about a heiress who goes paragliding and lands accidentally in North Korea. The first 4/5 episodes are great but then the whole thing falls apart...laughable coincidences, impossible situations and endless platitudes taken right out of the worst soap operas.

I couldn't get into it at all. Everyone raved about it so I was going to give it a try again, but seems like I can move on. ^^;;
