Potato, are you able to delete the post? an "X" button next to "edit" button.

OUCH! Bloody bastards! Teamin up to rip the others! Very sad news among the jdrama trade community, being defamed by them. Good news is ppl are aware of the scammers and avoid being scammed by them. Hmm...I have heard someone threatened (can't recall the person's name) to sue a scammer in the forum, she didn't receive her/his goods but at least got the money back! They've been ripping off from several ppl.How long does this have to continue? There must be end to this case! How about a group legal action against them? Contact the victims and suggest the idea. First, a final warnin before the action. Let's see how they will react to it and maybe you receive your long awaited goods.
Legal actions are widely known in the US, everyone knows it, hehe.

Pemu, you know what, I know you mean well and all, but even if the person that ripped me off WERE to give my stuff back to me, i truly wouldn't want it. I'd rather get it back from another source.

If I accept it it back, that means that I re-accept him back as a good trader and thus, will give him more opportunities to rip others again. No, no no, he's gonna have to do a WHOLE LOT of groveling before he is accepted by me, like giving out free stuff to whole mass of traders. Only then would I consider NOT kicking his teeth in. Beaten

Damn, that name got me upset again (sorry, i'm kinda quick with the temper) wish I can cuss him out in JPN, but the language is just too nice and polite to be what I consider insults. Now, cantonese, they have a plethera of fighting words you can use!!!

Niko, you are absolutely right. I didn't notice the important point of it.

Well like I said before, I wasn't the one who collected all of this info. It was another trader who collected it, but rather than post on the board about it when I called AsianDVDVCD a ripper, he/she chose to privately email me about it. I assume the person wanted to remain anonymous, that's why I didn't say who provided me with the info. However, I would gladly give credit, if the person would like me to.

I agree with Niko2x. After getting ripped by AsianDVDVCD, no matter if he sent me my stuff, I would never clear his name or forgive him. Once you have violated the trust involved with trading, it will be hard to trade with that person again always wondering if you might be ripped again. In any case, out of 54 CD's he ripped off me, I managed to trade with wonderful members of the board for half of the stuff I was suppose to get from him.

Buruburu and amrayu delivered package as promise and i highly recommend them to anyone. On the flipside i think djchoisum need to explain himself or herself. I did a transaction with him since October 28 and i send money through paypal on that same day but ever since then i heard nothing from him to this day. No package no nothing. I wanna believed that he is in trouble and can't respond to me if there a good reason it cool but if not. My patient has some limitation..

I had requested and was hoping genma (or someone) is able to make users' trade rating of something, but I guess the next best thing we can do is to create a thread like this and make it a sticky. I've traded here in this forum, all great traders BTW:

chichiri (traded with countless times)
ntlover000
limpaway
uchina potato
onizuka007
lovelessemotion

Altho I've had many successful trades, I have been ripped as well. This user, Robogokua no longer frequents here has burned me, so be aware of him (oh yeah, "robo" if you are reading this, where's my $hit? Yeah I'm still hot, POKEYE! Robogokua
I don't think Niko wants your stuff anymore. Consider the frustration, the time consumin on waiting and inquirin the emails he had back then. Why didn't you just inform him in the first place that you weren't going to send him the stuff since his was "crap"? Could've been a little easier than left unanswered.

Email me at [email protected]
So, as the "Baka" returns (that was your old email). You got upset, but at leeast you got your stuff. But I'm not here to get into a pi$$ing contest with you (not much anyway), even tho I have every reason to. Even IF I send bad stuff out, why didn't I get any replies? If you would have replied and/or send some of my stuff out, you would have gotten replacements and a lot of stuff extra. Where's my $hit? The least you could have done in good faith was to send SOME stuff and/or replied to the email I sent. I recieved nothing from you. As anyone who i have traded/given stuff out (yes I do do that too) and they will tell you I'm good on my word, check out the 1st page of this thread. BTW who can vouch for you?? Someone also told me that soon after you stiffed me, you had "Maho no Joken" available for trading. If I did give you a bad copy, why are you trying to trade "a bad copy"? Anyways, even if the source I heard it from was not good, and it's your word against his, and at this point, you word means jack to me.

Point is I've done countless of snail-mail trades and you were the first (congrats) to burn me. But I'm OK with that now, so keep your stuff, b/c I've already got those titles that you promised me. I'll continue trading, you'll continue "trading", the world goes on. You can also tell whoever I trade with here that I'm a bad trader or whatever, but unlike others I come here a lot, I don't hide. You on the otherhand, I will tell whoever wants to hear, that if they want to trade with you in this board, be prepared to get disappointed, or at least get some vaseline ready. Not trying to be mean, I just want to let them know the truth. "Eff" me once, shame on you. "Eff" me twice, shame on me.
You know where I am, and I'm done with you.

I was afraid this thread would start to get negative at some point. If your name appears on this thread as being a bad trader, please don't gripe about it. Instead, remedy the situation with the other person off-line. Keep in mind that this thread is based on the PERCEPTION of the OTHER PARTY.

For all traders from both the serving and receiving ends... Treat the transactions like a business situation:

1) Write your initial e-mails like you were writing a contract. Always write up the specifics before confirming the transaction. Explain EXACTLY what the deliverables are, the delivery terms (# days, shipping method/costs, etc.)

2) If shipping outside the continental US (i.e. Alaska and Hawaii), NEVER ship media rate. It can take up to 30 days! Always ship first-class... Costs more, but the speed of the transaction greatly improves.

3) During the transaction, keep the e-mail communications flowing. Even if there is no new status, tell the other person that. Certain traders need this hand-holding.

4) Test EVERYTHING you burn! Always prepare yourself for the worst scenario (ex: trader has a 30-year old DVD player, trader is using a Macintosh to play VCDs, etc.)

5) Make it clear what format/codec/platform/etc. you need to play the jdorama. Does the trader need the AC3 audio codec? Stuff like that.

6) When grading the quality of jdoramas, have someone else grade it for you. It's hard to be objective... If you own the jdorama, you always grade higher, but if it's someone else's, you always grade lower. It's a human thing! I go through this problem when trading comic books and beanie babies.

7) Don't abuse yourself from over-trading. Learn about yourself in terms of how quick you can deliver. If you've reached your personal threshold, STOP trading and focus on depleating your trading queue before opening yourself up to new trades.

I hope this list helps you have a more successful transaction.

Hey, everyone!

One thing I didn't exactly make clear in my last post is that there shouldn't be any non-constructive criticism (i.e. name calling, threats, etc.) in the posts that doesn't do anything other than add fuel to the fire. That's what I meant by keeping this sort of back-and-forth mudslinging out of the thread and instead keep it in PM. I should've stayed out of this, and I apologize, to everyone, especially niko2x and Robogokua, for that. Sad

i would agree with groink. i created this thread in order to help people know what kind of other people they are trading with, not a thread to flame others that have wronged you or whatever. leaving a bad feedback is one thing, but posting back and forth is something else. constructive criticisms would be the best because it might help someone who is not the best trader become a better trader. just a couple thoughts.

Great trade with Stargirl Big Grin My first completed trade, actually, although I have another couple in the works. Thankfully my first experience was with a really honest and helpful trader!
