Okay, upon request, here are three more captures:

0046

0046A

0087 and 0088 (Kazuya and Masaya)

And.... Here are my latest notes:

0029 - We have Dr.(I can't translate the name sorry..) from [name of university]...

0046 - {re-capture from Chinese VCD then post}

0047 - How would he know?? He doesn't even have interest...
0047 - he won't notice, he is also not interested

0087 - {kazuya just before koume tells koyuki Kusakabe is here}
0088 - {masaya immediately}

0095-0097 (for part of 0095: it sounded like An-chan said something like Fumiya was "nanpa". Not sure if that's what he said, but it sounded like it. If he did, it kinda means that he'd be getting all the girls...hard to explain ^^;; This was hard to hear with the echoing and far distance...)

Thanks!

0046 - Just which university is it??? (frustrated tone)

0046B - Does Dad know?

0088 - Can't make out that 3rd character clearly Sad.. seems like "plate" to me. If it is, then its "One more plate... One more plate.. Really..." ("Really" has a sarcastic tone to it, as in "Really, you should have know better")

I thought they were eating Crazy In the screen shot I can see Koyuki getting some food...

But yeah, if they are playin chess then the character can be translated as "game" as well....

For 0078, I don't think it refers to entertainment shows such as those on TV. It's more like asking onichan to come out with some activities that will provide entertainment for the family. Amika's translation minus the "show" at the back would be better IMO. I think it suits Eguchi's character in the drama as well. Smile

For 0014, the expression has a hint of unhappiness and regret in it, but the words used in the chinese subs are not very strong. It's rather close to something one would say when he is sighing, maybe lament as a noun will be a good word for it? Sweat

If 0045 is spoken by the younger brother to answer his brother's question of "which part of my teaching is good?" (seems to fit the context of their conversation), I think it can also mean "every bit of it is good".

Hope that helps, if possible I think groink you should include the dialogue before and after the more difficult ones to make it easier to understand what's going on in the scenes. Big Grin

NOTES/FAQ:

Q: Why DivX 5 this time? Your previous releases were in MPEG-2/SVCD format.
A: The first three episodes were released in MPEG-2/SVCD format (480x480). Future episodes will also be in DivX format.
The reason why I'm switching to DivX 5 is that my goal is to retain as much of the video and audio quality as possible. DivX 5 gives me that extra quality, and at the same time keep the file size so that it fits on a single 80min CD-R.

Q: I still prefer MPEG-2/SVCD format. Will you be releasing episode 4 in that format?
A: If you prefer MPEG-2/SVCD, I would highly recommend that you re-rip the video to MPEG-2/SVCD yourself. As part of my testing, I made sure that the re-rip process still offers great quality. There's enough resolution in the DivX release so that sampling the video down to 480x480 MPEG-2 gives you the best quality possible for that resolution.

Q: To what extent did you test the play of this file?
A: This episode was tested on MS Windows XP Pro SP1 and MS windows 2000 Professional SP4, both running DivX 5.1.1 codec. Players tested include MS Windows Media Player 9.0, InterVideo WinDVD 5.0, and BSPlayer 1.00 RC1. Also tested under Mac OS X 10.2.8 running VLC. And, I've tested the file on a Windows 2000 Pro PC running ffdshow-20040501.

Q: Well, I'm having problems playing the file. I'm a Windows user. What can I do?
A: First off, you must have a video codec that's compatible with DivX 5.1. A quick way of checking this is to download and run GSpot.exe http://www.headbands.com/gspot/. Using this tool, open the AVI file and it'll tell you whether or not your computer lacks the video codec. Second, make sure your DivX and/or ffdshow codec versions are the same version or later than what I mentioned in the last question. Though Windows Media Player 9 worked for me, it doesn't work well for other people, so try using a different player like BSPlayer, RealPlayer, or VLC. That's basically all I can tell you!

Q: Did you also test this file on DVD players?
A: Because each DVD player is different in various ways (firmware, chipset, etc.), it's impossible to guarantee compatibility with these kinds of players. Therefore, I did very little testing with stand-alone DVD players. I did, however, test with my LITEON LVD-2002 stand-alone DVD player. During testing on that unit, the video flutters on faster movements, giving a slight frame-by-frame imperfection. Because I didn't experience this symptom in any of the other playable tests, I believe the flaw to be in the player's DivX implementation. In this situation, I would then consider re-ripping the file to MPEG-2 in either DVD or SVCD format, then burn to disc.

Q: How do you burn a AVI to SVCD or DVD so I can play the file on my stand-alone DVD player?
A: It really depends on the type of PC you have, the software you have available (or can afford), and so forth. The best advice I can offer is to check out http://www.dvdrhelp.com/ and search around the various tutorials.

Eguchi Yosuke and Yamamoto Koji meet once again in Shinsengumi! (2004)
Sakai Noriko and Tatsumi Takuro meet once again in Toshiie to Matsu (2002)

I just watched the show, both seasons, and I loved it. Absolutely addicting.

Does anyone know the name of the actress who played the Track Coach in Series 2?

And maybe it's because my copy was a blurred avi, or maybe it was because it was made so long ago, but who did Nakatani Miki play in the first series? Fan that I am, I couldn't spot her. (She couldn't have been Uchida Yuki's replacement, could she?)

Okay, boys & girls... Some good news! I'm currently working with another fansub group to take over the UTSR sub project. I won't name the group just let... I'm going to mail the RAW material to the group later this week, then they'll see if what I've provided is workable in their own ways.

Even if they take ownership of the project, it'll be quite awhile before episode 5 ever sees the light of day because of on-going projects they're already involved in.

I'm just glad the RAWs won't go to waste! Smile

From the web, seems like she appeared in episodes 10 and 11 in the name of Aiko. Not verified tho.
