Someone from d-addicts who have pulled down the complete file would have to volunteer to be the original seeder of the file for bunko. I'm currently seeding Hotman on d-addicts, so my bandwidth is at max right now. Checked out the bunko tracker, it appears to be a jpop tracker. Would jdoramas even be accepted there?

This seems rather strange - I would suggest you get to the bottom of this problem rather than simply moving somewhere else. I would be surprised if there really was a problem, the thing about Ruroshin's tracker is sometimes people seed at a *very* slow rate. If there are 30 or 40 leeching from a very slow source everything tends to get *really* slow.

If you still really think there is a problem it would be a good idea to contact rurushin and see if he can investigate for you.

I've looked into this matter and it seems ONLY singaporean people have problems with the PHP tracker.

The thing that makes the PHP tracker different from other tracker is its not a daemon and it can be run on port 80. Its not always running and only responds when queried. This makes it more viable for a shared hosting environment that I'm on and that makes running the python or c++ tracker out of the question.

Then theres the problem that I can't really do much testing since I'm not in Singapore so its hard to find the cause of the problem.

So unless I can get a dedicated hosting that meets my requirements I'm stuck with the PHP tracker.

Black belts on left and right should be cut off.
Imo using mpeg is not a good idea for movie files. With some divx codec you could create a file of much smaller size with no visible quality loss.
Do not be afraid to resize.

Well, episode 1 has been out for about a week now. I'd like to hear any opinions on it. Quality, suggestions, praises, etc. I'm working on episode 2, so now's the time to change things, and this is the place to suggest them.

I also changed the name of this thread... I'd like to change the direction of the thread where anything pertaining to the jdorama, whether it's opinions on the characters, the plot, your personal experiences, whatever it may be... HOWEVER, please do not post any spoilers!!!!!

One other thing, and this is aimed at the moderators... Is there any way this thread could be moved to the Japanese drama discussions forum? If anyone can, please do so!

Thanks, everyone! Smile

There is no mod assigned to this section therefore the current mods aren't able to move the thread. We are able to modify the threads in our specific sections we were assigned to. We're working on a new moderator for this section. Just wait a little bit Smile

The opening song is splendid! I got really hooked on the song! The singer's voice sound like Oda Kazumasa's who also sang the opening piece to Tokyo Love Story. A very soothing and soft song Smile Listenin to the song makes me wanna see the drama.

The opening theme song to Under the Same Roof is available on d-addicts, in case any of you want a copy of it on MP3.

Why do I love UTSR? Well, Noriko-chan for starters!!!! hehehe...

But still... Even if she didn't appear in the series, I like subject matters where all the individuals are challenged somehow. And there's no mushy romance occupying the overall plot. To break it down by character, here are my personal opinions on each of them (after episode 1):

Tatsuya - To me, he's trying to do two things. First, he's trying to make up to each of his siblings for ditching them seven years ago. And, it's a long struggle to reach each of them, especially Koume and Masaya. Second, Tatsuya is trying to over-play the role of being the eldest sibling. He's just not mature enough. Other people think overall he's self-centered. I picked that up just a bit, but I don't think that's his true self, looking at the circumstances at the time he left home to pursue his running career.

Masaya - Self centered, know-it-all. Right now, he doesn't seem to have any kind of a heart. All he cares about is being on top, whether it's being the better of the two Kiuchi brothers (though he was adopted), or competing with his colleagues at the hospital. The only sign of being a human is when he runs into the young actress on the rooftop. In regards to his relationship with Tatsuya, Masaya thinks he's a flake!

Koyuki - Very lonely, and very naive. She doesn't have any problems with Tatsuya at all. She's the only one that cares about Tatsuya... Or maybe there's more than just love between siblings? hehehehe! She, of course, was adopted by the Kashiwagi family.

Koume - I haven't figured her out just yet. So far, she's quite a bore. Not much time spent on her in episode 1 other than the restaurant scene.

Kazuya - He's basically out of control. He hangs out with the wrong crowd. Nobody likes him right now. Need to see his character build up more in the next episodes.

Fumiya - No emotions out of him so far. He thinks he's a burden to his family and the guardians who were taking care him at the time. So maybe staying at the hospital wasn't all that bad!

Chizuru - She's a c*ck-tease! Either the actress who plays this character is lousy, or she gives me the impression that she really doesn't love Tatsuya all that much. She and Tatsuya have absolutely nothing in common. Why is she even marrying Tatsuya???? I'm a guy, so what do I know????

The young actress - I haven't caught her name just yet. She's going to have a huge impact in making Masaya a human being. Very spoiled girl!

Uncle Yuki - Very good person so far. He gets along with Tatsuya. Somewhat funny guy, I think he'll be fun!

Some good news, and some bad... First, the good news...

I've just now released episode 2 on d-addicts. Again, this episode has a one-time treat in it, where I added karaoke lyrics to the opening credits so that you can sing along.

Also, I'm now starting the subtitle script process for episode 3. I should start laying the subtitles onto the video itself by early next week. With Chistmas Day next week (and an extra day off after Christmas, courtesy of President Bush's executive order for most government workers), I can devote the time to the process.

And, I've just finished capturing episode 4 to DV format. It's sitting on my capture PC (all 12 gigabytes worth) waiting. I should start working on it the first week of January. On the week of January 12, the time will be cut pretty short seeing I'll be working at the SONY Open in Hawaii (a PGA TOUR golf tournament). Maybe you'll see me on national TV jumping around in front of the cameras like an idiot! Nut

Now for the bad news... Well, actually it isn't that bad... After episode 2, I'll stop distributing UTSR myself on d-addicts. Instead, I'll work out a mailing schedule with Ruroshin, where I'll mail him a DVD disc with the eps as I crank them out. He will then seed them on d-addicts, possibly using the DivX AVI format.

That's it for today!!!!! Happy holidays, everyone!!!! Peanuts and the '97 Beanie Buddy Teddy would also like to wish you a safe holiday season!

Ep 01, 12m55s
"My legs have needles and my leg hurts."

A quality check could be utilized to prevent such errors.

Actually, it isn't an error. NGN wrote it exactly like that on the original broadcast. I just brought it over verbatim. Someone got up on wrong side of the bed today.

It's comments like these that ruins things for the rest of the Jdorama fan community. And, it makes the more creative people think twice before starting a project like this. I don't need this sort of criticism from someone who I haven't seen generate one single creative thing within Jdorama community.

As of right now, I'm stopping this project until I get back that spark that inspired me to do this in the first place. This is a one-man project, and I've worked for several weeks on that first episode. I've tried my best seeing this is my very first time at this sort of thing. And for someone to lecture me, this person's got a lot of gall. I take jack-a** comments like these very personally. Thanks, dude, for ruining my enjoyment.

although i didn't download under one roof episode by groink but i'm sure that he has put in a lot of effort to this project and if people here don't appreciate his effort then you can always start from not downloading his work and get the dorama from another place, instead of looking for other people error and critising other efforts!!!

groink i think you should continue on this project.. and i'm sure that most members here will appreciate the work you have done for us... Applaud
