Whenever i browse the internet, i can not find enough information on her! She is an amazing singer and yet i wonder if people have heard of her. I think she was popular in the late 80's and early 90's. Are there any fans of her here??

I'm not a fan in general but has several drama/movie theme songs that she performed. BTW I'm not sure this is the right forum for a singer. Maybe in 'Japanese Entertainment' ? Mods?

nah... Koda Kumi is an adult video star and she's in this forum hehe

That maybe so but at least I have seen her made cameo appearances in dramas.

Not a fan, but I loved her songs which were Sleeping Forest themesong, Camouflage. And Shiroi Kage's themesong, Mayonaka no Nightingale^^ And another info on her, is that she's the wife of a popular composer and singer, Yamashita Tatsuro...who often sings dorama/movie themesongs too, like GdLuck's RIDE ON TIME, Ren-ai Shashin(Collages of Life)'s 2000 Ton no Ame...and many, many more^^ I'm a big fan of the husband's songs^^ Oh right, Takeuchi Mariya's song had become a sub-themesong recently, in Matsu Takako's recent drama, Yakusha Damashii. Uhh...I forgot the title I really like her voice, really unique. And when I heard her, I thought she's this old lady in her 60s Turns out, she was in her 40s, when she sung Camouflage and Mayonaka... isnt koda kumi the one who sang butterfly and the final fantasy song?? oh and i think yamada yu or someone sang a cover of a famous takeuchi Mariya song Uchi ni Kaerou (my sweet home)
