regarding how arashi was made by johny.

sho was picked first by johnny san and then nino and matsujun werepicked but nino and sho didnt want to debut so they went to decline the offer but then decided they might as well be in a group.
at first they were supposed to be a three piece group and they even recorded and choreographed with just three, then ohno was asked to 'help out' with the 3's recording and when he got there he saw that he had his own solo part and realised he was in the group (he too had reservations and didnt want to be in the group at first) then finally just days before arashi were to debut in hawaii johnny san rang aiba chan and asked him if he had a passport and whether he wanted to come to hawaii!! and thats how arashi was made.
jun nino and aiba were often seen on the same j. jr shows but i havent been able to find much on sho and ohno as jr together.
sorry for the long post, but can you imagine, if Aiba chan didnt have a passport and he couldnt go to hawaii there may never have been aiba han in the group thank god he did!!!
PS does anyone have hows it going backstage cos i could only dl the 1st part from the fake clbbox cox theyve all expired. some help!!

would you guys forgive me for being so flustered these few days that I am so not participating in the 'all the houses' of arashi fan pals~ well, sumthing wrong with the internet connection in my college(or maybe just the college's computer club room ). hummpph~ 2 mo papers on saturday and sunday, and after that, can I officially say I'm free? (I guess not...)
ok, I just skimmed all thru the previous posts I've missed(really I'm on tight schedule,huh~can't even properly remembers names too~) found so many new arashi fanpals posting in the thread. Nice to meet all of you~ wow, so many questions... I don't remember asking as much when I first started, opps maybe coz i already asked most of the questions to my twin sister who started 'studying' Arashiology much earlier than me...

well, if I have any chance, I'll try backtrack and be 'in the discussion' *sigh. to my dear friends... Yahhh... i've spread the HYD 'germs' all over the place... and my friends asked me to keep them updated with the upcoming eps. even tho they're not Arashi fans, and they barely could understand Japanese(I had to explain the context to them, god knows whether i got the explanation correct or completely wrong ). Last nite, I even got some to watch mago2 with me, and if not because my notebook getting overheated, she would've wanted to watch every single mago episode that I have...
I thought Sho went to Keio University for Economics but graduated recently (past year?) Wonder what he's gonna do with his degree
sho graduated from keio at the beginning of last year, i think, and has said that when he gets more time, he would like to go back to school for a master's in history, because that's what he's really interested in right now.
it makes sense that he would major in economics though, what with his father being such a higher up in the ministry of finance. there was a picture posted of him a long time ago, he looks strict, and exactly like sho!

His dad works for the Ministry of Finance, he's not the Finance Minister. Just a small misread on your part.

Sure, some big corporations hire their own economic forecasters but imagine how limited those jobs are. Most econ majors I know are taking additional courses that will allow them to work in more business/commerce related jobs. Still, economics is hugely interesting to me (which confuses my friends to no amount cuz they find the subject unbearable).

wait, his dad currently works in that ministry? i did read 2 articles on him. one is on his speech and another is in an interview... in both he's representing the telecommunication(i'm not sure the actual name) ministry, prolly this was his previous post. i forgot where i put articles tho...

I'm not sure whether his Ministry of Finance position is current or old. If the Japanese government is anything like Canadian government, they probably flip their public employees through the different Ministries on a constant basis. It's rare to find anyone who has stayed in one Ministry their whole career. Tis is the nature of politics.

but I think I'm the only dud who's never seen HYD4 yet, still dloading it...
