Actually.. to the users, whats the purpose of the "My Dramas" page? My initial thought was that its to keep track of the dramas you've watched/bought. Chances are high that you won't go back to manage them again once you've added your ratings and comments to a drama. If needed, one would probably be editing the latest dramas (maybe still watching). Thats why I placed the latest dramas at the top.

Hmm.. when would you need to search for a particular title in that page?

ACTUALLY

I always frequent the drama listing of others also, to see their ratings and reviews, gives me a good idea of what i want to see.

I believe it is always easier to remember the drama by name than the year of release, either by the person himself or a visitor !

u must realize we all never see drama's as per their being latest or not. except for old time drama followers who have seen most older dramas.

Yes, when you're viewing others' profiles, alphabetical listings could be better. Thats why it was left alone for now.

Maybe next time I'll try to let the user choose the mode of display.

yeah that wld be cool. just like a button to choose between alpha or year

dont think it shld be an issue since both functionalities are up and running, basically and conditional tag and active links to the buttons shld do it

thanks!

Oh, the broken HTML would happen with the IMG when I made a shadow topic of something I moved or merged. Sorry for being so vague. Sweat

I wonder if we should add a "spoiler" tag that will obscure the text when posted. Head Scratch

Thanks. I'm thinking of using something from d-addicts: having white text inside of a white quote box. The user would have to highlight the text to read it. Thus accidental reading of spoilers would be reduced. The normal quote box would remain the same, but you would easily where the spoilers are.

Here it is:

Use the [ spoiler ] whatever spoiler story [ /spoiler ] tags.

Click on button to reveal/hide spoiler:

I've not created the buttons to auto-insert the spoiler tags... so it may be a problem for super newbies.

Testing the code out:

Click on button to reveal/hide spoiler:

Hmm, I was wondering if the spoiler box could have a white background. That way, the white text would not be seen. Either that or make the text blue to blend in with the board's background color.

Thanks Genma for the new feature. I hope it'll reduce the frustration of accidentally reading spoilers. Victory! Peace!

Forgot to mention that you need to clear your cache of JDorama.css coz I've updated it with a spoiler class. Beaten White would be a big eyesore on the forum, thats why I chose it to look like our quotes with text blended into the background.

One concern however. When users quote a post which contains the spoiler text, they'll still be able to view the spoiler even if they didn't mean to. We have to somehow educate users not to quote posts that contain the spoilers or they'll unknowingly bump into them. I mean, for those who are not familiar with phpbb.
Feedback anyone?

Genma, is it possible for phpbb to ignore text found in the spoiler tag when quoting?

Hmmm... I'll have to code that in. But what happens if the user wants to quote text within the spoiler text?

i think only a newbies would end up going to that extent to know the spoiler. all regulars are already accustomed to the SPOILER tag we used to use.

this new thing will only be better.

i agree with genma ... sometimes if one wants to quote in the tag itself.

i believe it is something that should be kept Simple... too much functionality will only confuse users .. new ones most of all

You're right. I think this definitely needs more thought. But I like what I see so far. Thumbsup

@Aho: If they quote a spoiler text, doesn't that implicitly mean they read it? Head Scratch

Yes, that is exactly what I was trying to get at as the majority of posts that contain spoilers do not contain ONLY the spoilers. In most instances, there is always an opinion posted within the same post as the spoiler.

Perhaps I should have been more specific in my approach.............

Per say, "User A"posts a message that contains the spoiler and utilizes the "spoiler tags" to hide the spoiler.

(Providing that "User A's" post does not contain only the spoiler but perhaps a point of view, etc)

As a result of such, "User B" decides to post a reply to "User A's" post.

If, "User B" is not too familiar with the way phpbb works and wants to reply to "User A's" post (ie: the part of the post that DOES NOT contain the spoiler). 50% of the time, "User B" will quote "User A's" message during the posting process.

As a result, "User B" may have unintentionally read the spoiler that was "supposedly blocked out" in "User A's" message during "User B's" posting a message process.

If my explaination is still unclear, please advise.
